I get nervous when I see JoJo isn't here because I want him to comfort me that the Eagles will win this Sunday.

But then I remember that JoJo certainly wouldn't say that & instead remind me that the game is a complete toss-up.

Basically, I'm just not going to be comfortable until after the Super Bowl I guess.

It was a super fun season from Week 1. They’re in the Super Bowl with a good chance to win. This is house money. No reason to be nervous because it’s still a fantastic year if they lose by 40.

Even Eagles-Giants, which was lopsided for a playoff game, was only in the 75% chance to win range by implied odds. You can’t control variance. Embrace the chaos and enjoy the ride.

Cause I'm a nosy neighbor, any interesting prop bets/general bets for Sunday? Maybe I'll take a dip again in betting. I only did it once a couple years ago and that was DFS.

Tickets for the game have dropped by two grand over the last two days on the NFL's legalized scalping website "On Location."

Same thing happened last year. Maybe they'll stop with the bullshit.

To be clear, my bullshit statement is what they are doing is legalized scalping and not related to the price of tickets or anything. The price of the Super Bowl is never going to go down or be realistic.

They sell these ticket packages for a cost of X which is made up of the ticket and then they add on a party to it to make it an "experience" so that they can legally scalp them. That same experience will and has fluctuated by thousands of dollars over the last few days.

I can say first hand that they're getting quite close to selling tickets below face value to this game in some areas which come to think of it you really can't even see what face value is anymore because tickets are only digital.

@JojoTheWhale you're back <3 This makes me happy.

I'm just nervous buddy. I want us to win because you know, just feels so good. I am enjoying the ride though I admit. It is cool no matter what, but I can just taste it & want a fun Sunday.

Would be cool to say we got our SBs against the Brady and Mahomes, eh?

The Niners are still whining, I see.

Hopefully they dress a third QB for the season opener when something may or may not happen during pre-game.
I heard rumors that they are rebranding over the offseason:

I just cant see this season as house money though. Especially as it is so hard to get to a Super Bowl and next year the team will look so much different defensively. It's been 18 years since they lost one and I dont really want to remember how it felt when they did . Need to seize this opportunity. Tough task but they have more than a decent chance.

Are they really?

I will say that if Purdy doesn't get injured, I wonder if that game goes differently. He was real fun to watch down that stretch for them, AND he makes for a great story too in terms of going against the whole "you have to draft a franchise QB in the 1st!" Of course I'm not saying he's a franchise QB, but he looked phenomenally better than a 7th rounder, and I think he does possess the tools to be a starting QB in the league.

But...I don't know, in the end I think even if he doesn't get healthy, Philly still wins. It may not have been the blowout it was, but our DL is just doing good work right now.

Major whining.

I mean no doubt the game is competitive if Purdy plays, but I dunno. I mean San Fran had a much easier schedule than we did and we were likely the best he'd see all year. Not sure it would've really gone differently as far as us winning.

I'm confident Philly still wins by 10 or more. The flags they got were basically all legitimate, so I'm not hearing those whining calls from fans.

I mean i've seen quotes from Aiyuk, Deebo, and McCaffrey whining. McCaffrey saying that they had an opportunity stolen from them. Deebo saying that they were going to attack the Eagles DB's "all game long." Then you obviously have Aiyuk saying that he'd put all of his money on the Chiefs.

Maybe, don't leave a TE to block one of the best pass rushers in the league. After having four QB's injured maybe it's time to look in the mirror. Or you could have dressed a third QB anyway but chose to not do so.

They only threw like 20 or so times, but look at their offensive line in those plays. It was getting blasted, especially from the inside from Hargrave. Had they had a quarterback for the entire game it probably would have been one where they got over 6 sacks.

Ray Didinger on WIP for the midday show. Boy is he making me feel a lot more confident about the Eagles.

He isn't saying it's a for sure victory, but he seems worried at a healthy level about Mahomes while reminding everyone that the Eagles are also very dangerous.

Baldinger seemed to be favoring the Eagles I think I heard him last Friday. So is Warner. You can objectively look at this game and find logical reasons why you think either team will win though.

I saw a youtube video with him talking about the chiefs and he seemed to underestimate the chiefs, basically said their back 7 is not very good, and that is certainly not the case.

I was pretty nervous about this game, but then I went back and watch their Divisional round game vs the Jaguars. The Chiefs were so lucky to win that game it's pretty remarkable. There were 3 huge mistakes that cost the Jags the Game. 1. Christian Kirk dropped a 50 yard pass from lawrence that he should've had. 2. Lawrence was hit helmet to helmet ( very obviously too) and the no flag forced a drive stall at midfield and forced a punt. A flag there and they are in field goal range. 3. James Agnew with the brutal drop/ fumble. Had it been a drop on the field it wouldn't be overturned.

I believe we will have similar approach on offense. Spags only shot is getting us to 3rd and long. On other side of the ball, its going to be hard to stop mahomes. The injury and the new offense means a quicker passing game that is less explosive that limits opportunities to get to Mahomes. They do have 1 athletic freak and its Isiah Pacheco, who can turn a 3 yard loss into a 40 yard run. They also have Andy Reid who I imagine will script a lot of misdirection , screens, and man beaters early in the first 15 to keep our edge rushers off balance. Andy is not going to allow our dline to win the game, Patrick will be protected, so it will be crucial to force some long 3rd downs ( common theme to success in the nfl).

I think our secondary is going to have to have their best game, and I believe they are prime to do. This is the healthiest our secondary has been in a while and I am feeling more and more confident about our safeties. If you go back and watch that san fran game, CJ GJ was fantastic coming up into the box and making tackles, something that he really struggled with early on and Blankenship excelled at. Now that he is reading plays quicker and reacting quicker he is going to be huge in diagnosing these screens and misdirection plays early. He needs to play big.

Mostly I agree. Our secondary and LBs will be stressed continually with screens and motion, ect.

Which is why (broken record), I think we should be a run heavy/ball control offense. If we can play that way, (aside from turnovers) I cannot see how the Chiefs win.

I just really don't see how their defense will keep up with our OL and running game, if that is the offensive gameplan focus.

FWIW, Ray seems confident in Eagles > Chiefs purely because of the O/D line advantage for the Birds (which I think is very reasonable).

He says Mahomes will make his plays because he's a magician, but it'll be a war of attrition that the Eagles will likely win over time.

This is the Ray video I watched & it shoots serotonin into my brain.
