They don't seem to acknowledge that they had an offensive line that got four (4) quarterbacks injured. As well as the team played, based on that alone it's a miracle they hadn't lost a game with Purdy.
I got downvoted into oblivion for saying that exact thing on Reddit last week. Like, it ain't bad luck that your QB got hurt when your OL was so bad it got 4 of them knocked out with long term injuries this season. That OL vs our DL was a horrid mismatch that we should have seen coming a mile away.

OL matters arguably more than any other position in the league. If yours is elite you can win the Super Bowl with Foles. If it's garbage, you will kill the career of a Cam Newton almost immediately after it enters it's prime. I'm so glad the Eagles put in the work over the last decade to build up the OL like it did, it has paid off tremendously. Hopefully we can keep it up after Kelce and Johnson retire (and hopefully we can stave that off as long as possible)

The way I look at it, if Jalen plays close to where he did for the majority of the season they win. Mahomes is the x factor but if Jalen plays well they can survive a nuclear Mahomes game (just like they did with Brady).

I agree, which does scare me a little based off of last game since Jalen didn't really seem to get into a rhythm. To be fair, San Fran is the best - so that does happen, but I'm very, very nervous.

Its also worth mentioning that the weather was shit during the NFC CG. The light making the balls wet (phrasing) kind of makes sense on why they abandoned the pass and went run heavy. Why even take the risk of the weather causing an errant throw that puts SF back in it?

Yeah this game seems like there are only three potential outcomes. A shootout to end all shootouts. Eagles blowout. Chiefs blowout. I really don't see anything close unless it is like 35-30 or something like that.

Jalen's throws seemed a little softer than usual, which has me concerned. But, then again, the ones I'm remembering are the big-ass lobs he made, and on those I can understand that he was really trying to give his WR a chance to catch in stride.

I really hope that when the run the ball, they run it straight at Jones. Take his best ability (pass-rush) right out of their hands. Get the run game going and it'll open up the pass-game.

If this comes down to Jalen in the air we have a crap gameplan.

Keep time of possession, run heavy. Keep the ball out of 15's hands. It's the 100% strength of this team. Don't get "fancy". It's cliche, but "run the ball".

I see this game as our offense vs their defense, and can they stop us. I really don't care about their offense at all. They are going to get theirs.
If we are getting into a shootout, the gameplan favors them.

This coaching staff normally likes to pass to setup the run for the second half. Though they didnt have to do much of that last game. So that is why Im not expecting them to just run the ball and keep it away from him at least to start the game. I think that is how I would start though. have one of the best offensive lines in recent memory, see if they can stop them running. That is a big reason they beat the Patriots. That run defense was much worse statistically but they average 6 yards a carry that game.

Ive got a feeling it's either Eagles blowout or close loss.

The Super Bowl is the most over-analyzed sporting event each year. I love me some Mahomes, Reid, and T. Kelce, but if everyone plays to their abilities, and there are no injuries to the top players, I cannot see the Eagles losing, and I don't think it will particularly close. I don't like the Chiefs' injuries at WR, the weak points on the outside of their OLine, and their relatively inexperienced DBs. Of course, anything can happen during an NFL game, but, all things being equal, by the middle of the 3rd Quarter, I see the outcome no longer being in question.

Or not. Whatever.

I'm cautiously optimistic.

But I'm already over the takes on Mahomes. "He beat Cincinnati on one leg!" and all that stuff. Feel like even if/when Reddick & Co break through, the refs are going to be taking care of him on Sunday.

Im not so sure. The officiating was curious enough that Im sure Roger makes sure they arent the center of attention again.

Maybe they trying to get rid of these jerseys nobody wants to buy, by holding back the stock of real jerseys lol.

Anyone else see the news AJ Green is retiring and have their mind go elsewhere for a bit?
