OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): When You're Up, It's Never As Good As It Seems, And When You're Down, You Never Think You'll Be Up Again

This week, on social media (not here), I don’t think I’ve ever seen a team’s fans cry so much about losing a playoff game, and my team’s fans once tried to sue the league.

I'm in disbelief as well.

Apparently the Eagles suck and are just pretenders because they just beat the 3rd and 4th string QBs. (The same 3rd string QB they've s***ed off for the last 2 months btw.)

Also, even though he's just a lowly 3rd stringer, if their QB doesn't get hurt, they would have smoked the Eagles. (No mention of their defense getting blocked into next month all game long. - Slight exageration on my part, but I'm just very happy about the game our offense had against the top defense in the league.)

They also don't seem to acknowledge that having a relentless pass rush (that could hurt a QB in totally legal ways) or having a moron of a flatbrimmed coach who puts a QB in harm's way with stupid play designs are very much part of the game.

Oh, and it was the refs' fault anyway. Because if they don't gift that catch to DeVonta, everything else happens differently from there on out and Purdy doesn't get hurt.

Plus, Eagles fans are the absolute worst, because they yelled mean things at their fans.

It's a wild scene, man, it's a wild scene...

They don't seem to acknowledge that they had an offensive line that got four (4) quarterbacks injured. As well as the team played, based on that alone it's a miracle they hadn't lost a game with Purdy.

I recall this being a bit of a Shanahan family trademark when they were in DC. A line that did really well at run blocking but that became questionable with pass blocking.

Interesting. I see them more saying their franchised is cursed at the quarterback spot. Cant blame them.

The whole league seeminmgly whining about last week. "Yeah you won against a team without a QB. OK be proud I guess"

I still see those dumb comments like "I dunno if Purdy was in, it would've been an entirely different game"...nope. Still would've lost. Different, but result the same.

The way the Cowboys are going, they wont be in the playoffs next year. They want to bring Zeke back apparently and now McPenalty will be calling plays .

If they seriously plan to bring Zeke back at a cap number similar or the same as this year, they're doomed. Absolutely doomed.

The whole Niners fan base & locker room are so full of salt, it's insane.

Now you've got Brandon Aiyuk insisting our defense isn't that good, but I guess we'll never find out, He never will get the pleasure of proving they were better, I guess.

#WhinersNation. If Brock (could throw) or Johnson would have stayed in that game, the Eagles might have had over 10 sacks. They were just blowing up the interior of their offensive line.

This isn't even their top whining. Niners fans whining about Seattle when Sherman was there was unbelievably bad.

Imagine a guy that in 3 playoffs games had 6 receptions for 110 yards doing this much talking.

A bunch of the advanced stats for interior defensive lineman have Dexter Lawrence right behind Chris Jones. I think this bodes very well as the Eagles had a great game against him.

Only thing I'm particularly worried about at this point in time is:

1) Pressuring Mahomes sufficiently
2) Switching up looks on Travis Kelce. He's the only guy I want to minimize being burned by. I know we'll likely give up 1 TD to him, but I want to keep it under 2 TDs.

The way I look at it, if Jalen plays close to where he did for the majority of the season they win. Mahomes is the x factor but if Jalen plays well they can survive a nuclear Mahomes game (just like they did with Brady).
