There is a reason why Kirk Cousins is a 10+ year starter. There is a reason why Kirk Cousins stinks against above 500 teams. Neither comment is incorrect. Cousins is probably 10-15th best qb which gets u out round 1.

That is what Daniel Jones is. Good enough to be 14th-20th best qb in the league. If all goes right can win a game in playoffs. He will get paid 25-30m. And he will never come close to sniffing a super bowl. I would over pay for Lamar Jackson over Jones in a heartbeat and Jackson for sure has his flaws.

Other than Jackson I don't what the solution is. Sign Jones a year and draft Hooker? McKee anybody watch Stanford games? I sure didn't. Is GB moving Love or Rodgers? Move up for AR-15? With his skill set I think he goes a lot higher than people are projecting. Would Jones go for 1 year only without a hissy fit?
Giants can tag Jones but it’s expensive at like $40 mill? But they opted to not get tied down to the 5th year option that Cle and Car did with baker and Darnold if it didn’t work out this season.

Otherwise Jones is going to look to get paid or secure the equivalent of 2 years of average value of rhe contract in guaranteed money. Like if he was to average $30 mill, it would be on a like a 3 year deal for $90 mill with $15 mill in signing bonus and base salaries of $20, $25, $30 mill with year 1 and 2 base fully guaranteed. So at worst he gets $60 mill and thus the giants are committed To him for 2 seasons.

Richardson the concern I have with him is that he’s going to be raw. And we are seeing how in GB and SF that’s been an issue with Love and Lance. How raw can you afford your rookie qb to be in the nfl when you put him into the lineup.

I think Richardson should have returned for another season at Florida. Nfl expects rookie QBs to be ready to play sometime during their rookie season if you get drafted by a team
Without a starter.

how long has your erection been?

I think your intention was to communicate the question "How long have you had an erection?" because the news in his feed was "exciting". As in "If you've have an erection that lasts more than three hours, please call your doctor."

The way I interpreted it was "How long, size wise, has your erection been?".

Either way, doesn't really matter since it was clearly a joke on a hockey message board about football. Semantics, Schemantics.

A hot dog is a sandwich.

so not only did you correctly interpret my post, but you also exposed an insecurity of yours. well done.

I'm already nervous
Well, when you are in the Conf finals, all teams earned the right to be there and are good. All 4 teams have dominate offenses. I believe SF has several backups playing in the Def secondary, so that could be the key. AJ brown was not targeted last game, but could be the difference tomorrow. Eagles offensive line is always their bonus. Games like this, a key special teams play can win the game. Can Purdy handle the pressure? Eagles 23 SF 20

I went back and watched the cowboys 49ers game. The eagles are fortunate to play the 49ers after dan quinn started to really get purdy. There was a sequence where purdy basically almost threw 2 interceptions, that crazy pass to kittle and then got sacked. After that Kyle shanahan took the ball out of Purdy's hands essentially and focused soley on the run game. If the eagles get up big Purdy will not be able to lead them to a comeback. And things could get ugly. However I will say Shanahan is an incredible coach. He is so smart at finding your weakness and exploiting it. He doesn't put his players in bad position, and has a really good feel for play calling.

On the other hand what was very apparent with the cowboys is how poor of a play caller Kellen Moore is in comparison to Shanahan. If felt like the Cowboys could move the ball but much like Sirianni the playcalling wasn't focused on a single exploitation more like " oh lets call this play now" Sirianni has gotten better at it somewhat but Moore still has a lot to figure out.

I am not worried about the eagles on Offense, I think we will move the ball regularly on them, i think we will have success in a variety of ways. I also think we will be more aggressive than the Cowboys. WHat worries me is stopping the 49ers. The 49ers can sustain these long drives that will shorten the game for them , and that is how they keep themselves in it. If the niners win it will be close, IF the eagles win it could be a double digit affair or a close game.

I feel confident we win.

I think the thing with Flatbrim is he turtles up. Did it most of the1st half and nearly tried to run the clock out at the end of 2nd. Other playoff games he went conservative, like the game in LA a year ago. Im in agreement that I think the Eagles will be able to score on the Niners. Other side of the ball Im more concerned about. Though the Niners oline played bad last week. Every game in itself is different but if they play anywhere close to how they did against Dallas, this will be a clownpounding. Flatbrim has been very cautious in the beginning of games with Purdy, so if the Eagles can put up points early, the avalanche is coming. Maddox being back is huge. Saw a tweet that with him in the lineup the Eagles are #1 in EPA against in the slot. I think the Eagles defense will do just enough.

From my perspective, you listen and read people who played the game at the highest level and the things they have in common is that the Eagles are better on both sides of the line of scrimmage and they better at quarterback. That is how you win games. So barring turnovers (which the Niners) are good at forcing, the Eagles should win. The Eagles take care of the ball and I think the homefield and Jalen will be the difference.

i just have a feeling that shanahan is going to target reddick and our smaller db's in the running game, and it could be a potential disaster.

"Hurts season projection 4000 yards passing. 500 yards running total td's 35 After this year hurts is a top 10 qb. has a shot to finish top 5 in mvp voting if he plays 16 full games.

Eagles have potential to have a special team this year. Loaded roster, potentially an easy schedule and with no other really dominant team in the NFC things could really work out for us.

Dream scenario we go 14-3 get a first round bye and make it to the super bowl. New orleans finishes bottom 5 in the league

Nightmare scenario we win the wild card again and saints are the number 1 seed, and jalen gets injured for half the season after looking like an mvp candidate."

i posted this in september. Dang. not bad jtown undersold hurts a bit. should've known he was the mvp before flukey injury.

I can see that. I think their will be many runs to the outside and swings to the flat to Deebo and CMC. Though the latter is banged up. I would try to take away the middle of the field and make Purdy beat you outside the numbers. Apparently, the Eagles allowed the least yards per attempt on inbreaking routes this season. Granted, alot of this can change if the Niners come out conservative the first few drives like they have been and the Eagles get off to a good start. There are matchups each team can explot, but I learned long ago that football games are normally won at the los and quarterback play. The Eagles have the advantage on paper on all of them. That is why they play the games though. Need to execute and I think all will be fine. If i was a neutral and looking at this game that is how I would look at it, plus the homefield.

Also something I think is going under noticed is their game with Dallas was very physical and hard hitting. Plus one less day of rest and flying across
country.

Also, Jalen can become a legend in Philadelphia today (just as Bryce did a few months ago). I think he knows it, I suspect he will be up to the task.

I'd like to see the Eagles and Chiefs in the Super Bowl. I've been catching the Kelce brothers' weekly New Heights videos on YouTube, and it's very enjoyable. I cannot imagine how fun it would be over the next few weeks if both walk with a "W" today.

Alright boys and girls....here's my fearless forecast.

Year Quality Summary

Yes, the Niners have talent, but they're a paper lion and I'm gonna tell you why the Birds win today.

Eagles' opponents schedules this year 134-149-6
Niners opponents schedules this year 120-168-1

Yes, I'm sure you heard all about the Eagles creampuff strength of schedule this year - and it wasn't a gauntlet by any means, but it wasn't nearly as bad as projected considering the NFC East was a titan out of nowhere. The Niners, however, had a very difficult schedule that turned into total vomit quickly. Raiders, Denver, Rams, Cardinals, Buccaneers...garbage.

So while it's impressive that the Niners have won so many games in a row, it's less impressive when you realize the quality of those games.

Brock Purdy

Yes, this lad has done well for who he is (last pick in the draft), but let's be clear: He looks shaky last week against Dallas (especially in the 1st half), he throws more interceptable passes than even Dak Prescott, and I'm gonna say it: he isn't as good as Daniel Jones even. We have the CLEAR QB advantage and a horse shoe up his butt is the only thing that could make him outshine Jalen today.

The Trenches

For the average game, the positional areas that win games are Quarterback (previously discussed), Offensive line, and Defensive line. We've established supremacy at QB, but our supremacy at O-Line is better with a massive explanation point. All-around starters, the depth, etc. we just are flat out better -- and they're largely experienced in huge games.

Defensive line...Yes, Bosa may be the best among the whole bunch, but the Eagles have a *historic* defensive line right now. Remember when a lesser D-line did to Tom Brady during those Giants Super Bowls? We're talking '85 Bears, baby. If the Niners try to stop Reddick, they're getting BG. If they want to key in on Sweat, they're getting Cox. It's going to be a PROBLEM for the Niners.

Depth

Even if injuries arise, which we are a *very* healthy team going into today, we have such depth that no position will end up being a disaster if a replacement is needed. That gives me a lot of confidence.

Summary:
We have the better QB, O-Line, D-Line, our coaching staff has been great & Sirianni has the balls to go for it when it's analytically advantageous in a game. Niners have shinier toys, but our defense has a history of suffocating those toys in the middle of the field before they can really cause major damage.

Forecast...Birds win 30-24 and head to the Super Bowl

The only adjustment I would suggest is not comparing O-Lines to O-Lines, but the Eagles' O-Line to the 49ers' D-Line and vice-versa, the O-Lines don't face off against each other. That's where the wins are.

Otherwise, I cannot argue the above as I am on record (good for you, Kermit! [head pat]) as saying the Eagles should win because they are the better team.

Watched the old 2001-2003 NFC Championship Games this week because I'm a sicko. That Reid-McNabb combo was something in high leverage situations. Ironically their best game came against St. Louis as an 11 point underdog. They were leading at halftime and had a chance to take the lead in the final minutes. Went 4 and out ending with a pick.

Also, bring back the Linebacker Neck Roll era. This guy played Linebacker 20 years ago.

Purdy's fluke reign of terror ends today and the Eagles play here in a couple weeks:

Went out for Spring Training one year. That thing is literally in the middle of the desert. Weird place.
