The San Francisco 49ers defense faced 5 QBs this season that were in the top 10 of YPC running the ball They lost to 4 of the 5 they faced
Fields
Russ
Hawaiin McCoy
Mahomes

They were missing players on defense for Atlanta including Bosa but they only scored 14 against them. The game against Denver I watched and their defense played great, Jimmy just stepped on the back if the endzone for a safety .

The only adjustment I would suggest is not comparing O-Lines to O-Lines, but the Eagles' O-Line to the 49ers' D-Line and vice-versa, the O-Lines don't face off against each other. That's where the wins are.

Otherwise, I cannot argue the above as I am on record (good for you, Kermit! [head pat]) as saying the Eagles should win because they are the better team.

Pretty irrelevant to say though considering we're better on both lines

Watched the old 2001-2003 NFC Championship Games this week because I'm a sicko. That Reid-McNabb combo was something in high leverage situations. Ironically their best game came against St. Louis as an 11 point underdog. They were leading at halftime and had a chance to take the lead in the final minutes. Went 4 and out ending with a pick.

Also, bring back the Linebacker Neck Roll era. This guy played Linebacker 20 years ago.

Went out for Spring Training one year. That thing is literally in the middle of the desert. Weird place.
Does AZ produce a lot of baseball talent? High schools around here literally get to practice outside every day (not sure if that matters or not). My HS's team practiced inside on the basketball court a good part of the year.

Fair amount but well behind the California, Texas, Florida, Georgia tier. They produce a decent amount of football talent also. Purdy is from AZ.

The baseball prospects get a lot of exposure because half the league has a complex in Arizona so they always have scouts in the area. I'm more of an East Coast guy but it's pretty convenient that all of the AZ Spring Training complexes are within an hour of each other if you wanted to make a trip of it.

It won’t be easy like last week, but, at the end of the day, the Birds will walk away with a 28-17 victory.

Why?

1. Brock Purdy. He’s been great but he’s only started 2 road NFL games in his career. He has never experienced an atmosphere like the Linc in the playoffs nor a D line that can get to a QB like the Eagles.

2. The deep ball. As good as the Niners D is, they’ve been vulnerable to the deep pass all season. Hurts mobility will buy him the time to hit Brown and/or Smith deep. And, if the D overcompensates on the WRs, that will mean favorable matchups for Goedert or open lanes for Hurts to get first downs with his legs.

3. Jalen Hurts. The team with the better QB usually wins. Purdy has been a nice feel good story, but hurts, along with Mahomes, has been one of the 2 best players in the NFL all season. He ain’t losing today.

4. Philly. The cold, the crowd and the heart and soul of players like BG, Kelce and the amazing Lane Johnson give Philly the edge in a close game. This team is on a mission, they aren’t losing, in Philly, to anyone.

Ok I'm awake. I saved the outfit I wore for the giants game and have that on. I'm doing everything I can over here
I’ve watched nearly every game this season in the same tie dye Eagles t-shirt and sitting in the same seat at my local sports bar. In fact, my record when doing the above is 11-1 this season.

Shirt is on and I’m leaving for the bar shortly. No worries, the staff reserves a few tables for me and my Philly crew and everyone knows to save me my lucky seat!

I instructed Girl to order the same coffee as she drank last Sunday also
