I wasnt much a fan of his when he was in DC. Still too much his father's offense, kinda dated. I love where his offense has gone since, though.

We discussed Alex Smith once. Imagine Smith running this version of Shanahan's offense. Especially if Shanny had the foresight to sledgehammer his leg to instill a bit of YOLO into his game to spread things out.

This is such a good example of how these mistakes compound. Not playing for the TD leads you to Punting and somehow chewing up clock to do it. There's never a cohesive plan. It's decided in the moment.

It's the opposite of how teams like the Eagles can run the ball on 3rd Down because they know they’re going on 4th in advance. It adds up so quickly.
