Hopefully that shuts up niners fans for a little bit. Who could have figured they were the most annoying fan base in sports? Seemed to go from 0-100 immediately too. So weird

Purdy cost me trip to finals.
I rode him while Fields leaked oil and then got hurt, but thankfully I went back to him, and I won in that league.

My other league, Mike McDaniel inexplicably put Achane on ice in favor of Jeff Wilson and it f***ed me. That and Kenneth Walker doing jack shit.

The league I lost has a guy starting Nick Mullens in the final. He wanted me to trade him Purdy for Tank Dell (my QB1 is Hurts) but I wasn’t having it. Both finalists there were 7-7.

I had byes in both leagues too.

I think we can all agree it's incredibly difficult to run an offense like this. That they were able to last year is a testament to the coaches and players.

I just don't know how to even begin to discuss it because we don't know if Hurts can't attack the MoF or if they haven't tried to develop him in that area. I think both are well within the realm of possibilities.

Please stop giving me more reasons to potentially gloat about how he's not worth $50 mil a year. I can only get so elated.

Come live out on the west coast. They suck. Seahawks fans are the worst though.
Nah dog, I live in 9ers country. Still don't hold a candle to Cowboys fans. One drop of success and those fans are popping off everywhere like they rule the world.

Raiders fan used to be this way, but (like the Cowboys) they have not had success in decades, so they are far more reserved now. But Cowboy fans, a tiny drop and they strut.

I suppose the middle of the field is more cluttered and therefore harder to read, but you’d think a quarterback at the highest level would have no problem passing to the areas right in front of his face. I don’t look up these passing charts though. What does a typical quarterback look like? Any favor the middle of the field?

Throws over the middle of the field are generally riskier, I don’t think it’s unusual for coaches to have young QBs avoid throwing over the middle. I think every throw Ben Roethlisberger made his rookie year was a sideline route.

Roethlisberger’s rookie year was 19 seasons ago. What QBs have been asked to do has changed completely since then. But beyond that, the 2004 Steelers were a SUPER run heavy team that asked Roethlisberger to be a weird hybrid of game manager and Tarkenton-style chicken with his head cut off. That team archetype is dead forever. And it’s definitely not what the Eagles are trying to do.

Young is well beyond a cop out at this point. Hurts has 1500+ Attempts in the NFL after multiple years in P5 conferences. To avoid the MoF to this level is exceedingly rare. I’m not trying to tell anyone what to think about him as a player. You can point to last year and tell me that he can make it work without it. That happened. But the only high end QB in the last ~20 years who couldn’t exploit his area of the field is Russell Wilson. That is inarguably it. Wilson is maybe the best deep ball guy ever and held the ball forever with the agility to avoid rushers in ways almost no one else could. If Hurts can keep succeeding that way, he’s not just an outlier. He’s also a completely different player than the other outlier. Maybe he is. But what’s the probability?

They haven't been very good in so long though. Have they always been....this? When when they're not good?
Niners fans? Honestly I had one bothering me when I typed that. They are ok. Might have over reacted. Seahawks fans are bad. Never meet one until they won the Super Bowl 😆. They came out of the wood work and have not shut up. I’d say less than 5% of the fan base knows who Steve Largent is. Then again, I don’t live in Seattle so my sample size might be off but I find Seahawks fan to be really annoying. And this is coming from a Philly fan that grew up in nyc

He doesn't seem like early Flacco who could drop a football onto a sideline vertical route no problem but had serious trouble with how to lead slants and crossing routes. It doesn't look like there's any inherent deficiency to avoid. It just seems to be how they like their offense designed. I'd love to hear them explain why someday.

Back in the championship again. Other guy has Lamar and McCaffrey and he beat the only one-loss team in the semis. I scored the most points in the semis despite getting a big fat 0 from Josh Jacobs because I forgot to check his availability. I'm at -1.8 to take the goody bag.
