Is there any chance they'll get that pencil from off the sidelines? I can't watch this team with my old man because now he's rooting on them to lose. Please God let there be a way.

IMO the biggest issue this team has is our line except Reddick are getting zero pressure..... penalties, swiss cheese defense on 3rd down, not running the ball enough.... turnovers all can change in a few games but getting no pressure on the QB is a big problem against top teams like the Niners and Cowboys..... our D-line which is supposed to be one of our strengths has to get to the QB in the playoffs.... if they do will represent the NFC.... if we don't will be done in a hurry.... Patricia needs to figure that out

“The Rams are playing good ball.”

I was talking to a buddy last night. If you're SF, who do you least want to see in the NFC playoffs?

Normally I'm all about overall team strength being the ultimate determining factor, but this feels like one of the outliers to me. Detroit is definitely an outlier because Goff would have to play outside, but I'm at least thinking there. Dallas and the Eagles have both turned into fantastic matchups. It really does feel possible that they lose more often to the Rams and Seahawks than anyone else. They also win comfortably a larger portion of the time than other teams, but that's a different discussion. Stafford can just beat you. And those are the two teams with multiple functioning high end offensive weapons. Obviously the Eagles would normally be but...yeah. Plus they've already seen you twice. That means less surprises.

I don't really have an answer for this one if i'm being honest. They all seem like great ones for the Niners as a whole.

They've owned the Rams for years sans a Jimmy G meltdown in the NFCCG which I guess is theoretically possible with Purdy. The Niners are the Rams' boogeyman. You always know an ass whooping is coming. Stafford probably will be playing the position the best of any of the QB's heading into the playoffs if it turns out that way and there's no better trump card to hold.

The Seahawks have the same story as the Rams with getting constantly beat down by the Niners but without the NFCCG glory. I just generally think that they're not a very good. They obviously have some top end weapons but as a whole they leave way too much to be desired to view them as a type of threat. Maybe my bias is showing against that team but they just look like the definition of fodder to me.

As you said the Eagles and Cowboys are great matchups in a X's and O's sense so I don't think they necessarily fear them. Not that a team will need the get up motivation in a potential NFCCG matchup but i'm sure the Niners would treat it as their "Super Bowl" again to put a paddlin' on the Eagles again. The Cowboys maybe they'd look past a little bit after the last couple of years of beating them in the playoffs? Probably not but I put the Eagles and Cowboys on the same playing field.

So by default we may just have to go with the Lions out of they haven't seen each other in a few years? Outdoor Goff be damned but now after typing all of that out it may be the Rams.

I'm not even going to mention the NFC South.

1. Lions
2. Rams
3. Eagles/Cowboys
4. Seahawks

5. NFC South

The one who took over for Justin?
If I could post a tip of the cap gif, I would.
