I have no interest whatsoever in victory lap bullshit, but maybe the next time I say I don't think the QB meets the bar for a top of the market 2nd contract, don't tell me I'm just being negative and/or dishonest. It makes it impossible to even have a discussion. I didn't buy Wentz in 2017. I didn't buy Hurts last year. I can only tell you what I see and why.

I'll be wrong many, many times. Feel free to laugh at me afterward. I'll join you.
I still believe in Hurts. I dont believe in this OC. And i dont believe in too close relationships in pro leagues. Hurts needs someone who has more say then himself. And it feels like he has too much power in the organisation.

but the person that he is, i have faith that he understands it and is ok with a new coordinator for next year!. There is no way this offense can be that bad with such good players. Its a problem from the staff!

But maybe i´am just the new Deadhead. I was wrong with Wentz maybe iam wrong with Hurts.
But all i know about Hurts gives me confidence that he can work on his failures. I dont judge them finally till next year with a new coordinator.

There's some chicken and the egg here. Does the team not try to exploit the MoF because the QB can't do it or have they not tried to help him get better at it? We have no way of knowing as outsiders. But it would help everyone quite a bit if they could do it just enough to keep defenses a bit more honest.

Either way, I'm comfortable putting it on the OC right now. This just isn't good enough. You have to at least try something besides Slants.

This is what ticks me off the most. Can he do? Or they as a collective won't do it? It's literally a cheat code. It's what I wanted them to run at the end of the game to ice Dallas in the first matchup.

The Gauntlet is starting to wear them down. At best they'll go into the playoffs tired and beat up. Should be a short stay for them.

And this is the window. The entire success of the Eagles is predicated on that All-World Offensive Line of theirs, and next year that line will slowly start to crumble.

Kind of cursed team. First that SB that they would have won 49 times out of 50 if it is was played that many times, and now this year, the schedule of doom. Unlucky.

The insiders are talking like Brian Johnson is the second leading candidate for head coaching jobs in the offseason, behind only Ben Johnson, so it might be taken care of for you. Things could change between now and the end of the season for both of them, though.

If they don't go out and find a good offensive mind then it's all for naught anyway.

I'll admit, I was a BIG fan of the idea of sticking with what Hurts knew and promoting Johnson. I just didn't expect this level of bullshit every goddamn week

Lost in the middle of the field stuff is that they insist on Devonta lining up at X when Brown's by far the better option to physically win the rep against any type of leverage. Make it make sense...

It's like Johnson is just trying to prove to the rest of the league that they can do whatever they want on offense, and I understand trying to dictate things, but at some point, it's about finding a sequence of formations that work, right?

Data is from Sumer Sports:

Total EPAEPA/PlayPass EPARush EPAScramble%Sack%ADoT
2022119.90.1972.247.68.67.68.1
202365.80.1153.612.28.27.18.6

It really isn’t hard to see what changed in Hurts. We know he’s hurt now. We just don’t know if he was healthy to start the year or not.

I'd laugh at Mahomes and point at the SB but my team just got embarassingly exposed so I'm going to keep my mouth shut.

Don't worry guys, they'll just "get back up". "I'd be happy with 2-2 out of tHe gAuNtLeT anyway!"

There is a more likely chance this teams finishes 14-3 than 12-5, but I think 13-4 will be their final record.

That photoshop Ross posted is amazing .

Hell I don't give a f*** that Philly just got embarrassed two weeks in a row, I'm totally calling out Mahomes' blatant hypocrisy with his bullshit "you gotta let them play" stuff.

There's quite a lot of video evidence of him not being upset when the refs had made calls that benefitted him and the Chiefs. We know that already, just go back and look at the Bradberry holding call in last year's SB. It was pretty soft, and the ball was heavily overthrown. Yet there he is immediately yelling for a call. Guess he doesn't want to let them play right then.

I'm just so f***ing tired of the slobbering all over him.

These miserable sacks of shit are gonna get bounced in the first round unless Tanner McKee steps up to the plate to dink and dunk down the field. Mariota is cooked and Hurts is one more bad run away from ending is god damned career. That defense is an atrocity. These guys stink.

Nice throw, completion or not.

This is one of the most valuable questions to have the actual answer to in football right now. I also find it extremely interesting, so I probably speak about it too much.

For me, it's about whether you can build an entire offense on their skillset and whether or not that offense can be schemed out. We're at a point now where the top QBs can basically do everything.

I don't think he has regressed either. I think he's not healthy and I think he limits you schematically.
For me it seems like its more a chemistry thing. When the QB and the OC have a good chemistry the QB can be a world beater. With another OC and loosing a few players the QB can look like a bottom of the league QB.

Mahomes has problems with lesser WR´s. In my eyes the whole QB overpayment is short sighted. I dont think it will ever be different, but the QBs are payed too much in general. And we will see a lot of teams win with younger QB´s that are on the first contract or older QB´s that play for their career on low cost prove it contracts.

Cause Football is so much more than QB play. Maybe the 49ers and Purdy will understand it and Purdy take a lesser deal. I like how he plays. But for me he is a Point Guard not so much a difference maker himself (heard that comparison from one of the guys from Jakib Sports and loved it!). So if Purdy would understand his role and take a lesser deal i can see the 49ers go on a long road of success. I would hate it but it would be earned!

A rather uncharacteristic L for Reid on this one.

From the stills I've seen, it looks like Toney is way more than "1 or 2 inches offsides"...he looks nearly a full damn yard offsides.
