Obviously it’s a problem. I’m saying an offense that’s supposed to be loaded at nearly every position can’t score a TD in an entire half.

I’m not dogging the defense when the offense is just as ugly of a dog right now.
I mean the offense absolutely won a game 2 weeks ago.

Defense won a quarter vs SF.

Fair enough. I would have liked a more conservative approach, but rock and a dark place like you said.
Yeah. QB’s are arguably the most important position in sports. So much success depends on them but these massive contracts can be crippling

Not to mention GM’s have a high pressure job without a ton of security. Maybe you get ownership’s blessing for 3-4 more years to prove you made the right decision. Kinda tough though when you were just in the Super Bowl and may have that top tier QB. The roster and fan base probably wouldn’t be thrilled to see everything start over when they were so close to the top

And I say this as someone who wasn’t a fan of the contract from the moment it was signed
