I understand the team aspect. I don't have any way to value it or know what it makes impossible, so I don't count it. I'm just talking on field.

The MVP is a team award. I think Brock Purdy is a good QB who is definitely not just a product of the system. I also wouldn't give him 45+ under any circumstances and he's the MVP frontrunner.
On the field, I don't think <he> has specifically regressed. Johnson isn't Steichen, FOR SURE.

And right the 49ers are going to be going through this in 2 years. They have some cap business decisions already next two years, then Purdy is up.

I mean how lucky as well they are to have Shannahan, and find this guy with the wasted capital of Lance and how he must suck to not show anything with Shannahan.

Nice throw, completion or not.

I just don't understand what the bar is for a QB worth a top market 2nd contract is. I do know Hurts isn't the first QB to actually get one and maybe not be worth it.

This is one of the most valuable questions to have the actual answer to in football right now. I also find it extremely interesting, so I probably speak about it too much.

For me, it's about whether you can build an entire offense on their skillset and whether or not that offense can be schemed out. We're at a point now where the top QBs can basically do everything.

I don't think he has regressed either. I think he's not healthy and I think he limits you schematically.

A lot of people on here really wanted the Bears QB tbf

I sure as shit did. Like I said, I'll join you in laughing at me anytime.

I don't know what Fields could have been. Maybe still nothing. I do know that he had no shot to be successful in Chicago with the way the coaching staff and roster went. Landing spot matters so, so much.

I still just want a competitive team to try out the rookie QB contracts forever strategy just to see how it unfolds.
Infinite draft pick glitch. Trade the QB on a rookie deal to suckers and just draft the next one.
