I have no interest whatsoever in victory lap bullshit, but maybe the next time I say I don't think the QB meets the bar for a top of the market 2nd contract, don't tell me I'm just being negative and/or dishonest. It makes it impossible to even have a discussion. I didn't buy Wentz in 2017. I didn't buy Hurts last year. I can only tell you what I see and why.

I'll be wrong many, many times. Feel free to laugh at me afterward. I'll join you.
I mean it's a damned if you do damned if you don't situation. If you don't pay on a well respected player, you pretty much lose the team.

And, despite the Hurts flaws, he IS still legitimately in the MVP race.

To the best of my knowledge, I've watched more Flyers than playoffs in the last 2+ seasons.

Flyers: 1 (San Jose this year)
Playoffs: 5 minutes here or there of a few games
I was talking to one of my buddies about prospects and realized I couldn't name like 3 players from the 2021 draft. I found out McTavish went 3rd overall like 2 days ago.

I don't think I like hockey anymore. I can't get through a game.

I was watching the game the other night and at one point I thought "What kind of stupid f***ing game has you bouncing a puck off the wall to space hoping someone will get to it and bounce it off the wall to someone else until someone does something with it?"

I understand the team aspect. I don't have any way to value it or know what it makes impossible, so I don't count it. I'm just talking on field.

The MVP is a team award. I think Brock Purdy is a good QB who is definitely not just a product of the system. I also wouldn't give him 45+ under any circumstances and he's the MVP frontrunner.

I don't think Hurts is a bad QB. I just don't want to give good but not great ones that 2nd deal.

I just don't understand what the bar is for a QB worth a top market 2nd contract is. I do know Hurts isn't the first QB to actually get one and maybe not be worth it.

Wonder how many picks you could've gotten in a trade for him after last year.
