OT: Philadelphia Eagles (NFL): Don't Cry Because It's Over, Smile Because it Happened (Offseason - 2023)

Dillard has far more upside than Vaitai, a first class athlete who got waylaid and when he got it together was buried behind two All pro caliber OTs and an All pro LG. No shame in that.

Blankenship is better, just need a FS to pair with him, but I think the market is too rich to keep CGJ, but you never know, prices sometimes collapses after a few big deals, especially positions like safety where there are fewer teams willing to give big contracts.

That falcons contract to Bates is nuts.

Vaitai won a Super Bowl though

He's behind Dillard in any discussion right now until he shows that potential. I'm just dying to see how he handles getting coached by Vrabel.

Dude will be in tears 1st day of camp

Dillard was/is a pass blocker no? Not sure that's a great fit there in TEN.

If they want a cheap win now piece that won’t cost a pick, give me Calais Campbell.

I’d put him in the HoF, so I understand I’m higher than most here. Or anywhere.

Is CC going to the HoF really a controversial take? I'm right there with you.

I've thought about him today as well. However, also made me think of Haloti Ngata. Both physical, athletic freaks, but Haloti's tank was empty when he came to Philly. I wonder how much CC has left...

(Although Ngata's play had already dipped before coming to Philly. Moreso than Campbell's play in recent seasons.)

Some TJ Edwards to Chicago smoke. I'm going to guess I hate whatever he ends up signing.

OH GOD DAMN IT

I'm going to have to have Opinions on draft RBs now too. This is the worst from every angle.

Eh. Don't bother. RBs are voodoo. The answer will be some 6th rounder from a school nobody even knew has a football program and who was ignored because he was bullying glorified high schoolers.

I always liked him and he'd be a good fit off the bench in this scheme. Can play DT or 3-4 DE.
And he's played for enough losers, he'd probably be happy to come here.

He's better at that I think, yeah. Not sure it's going to go well for him.

Can I all the Eagles Linebacker U yet?

These contracts

This is funny money time. Alex couldn't cover a cockroach.
Edwards may be slower, but better hips and instincts and can actually make plays in pass defense.

Seeing these IDL contracts only reinforces how important it is to get one or two in this excellent class.

I could easily be wrong, but I thought he was seen as being very good for a long time rather than being great. Sort of a compiler’s HOF case. I think he’s the best run-defending EDGE I’ve ever seen. And the pass rush on top, obviously.

Let's make him one of us

I honestly don't know how he is perceived in general (he made the 2010s all decade team for what it's worth), but I was always very impressed with his play. Always felt like he was ragdolling some offensive lineman in every other clip. Players that big (huge really) shouldn't be that quick and technically sound.

Well, I think I've talked myself into it. Bring him to Philly!
