DeSean coming for Chip Kelly

Lotta people on here about to come for him

Big loser energy. Same with McCoy every time he opens his mouth. They act as if they’re the greatest players to ever play the game in this city.

The guy asked for a raise the next day after they lost to the Saints and he already wasn’t playing up to his contract. What do you expect?

Maclin? You mean the guy that Chip offered a larger contract to but Andy Reid illegally tampered with him and Maclin said he couldn’t go back on his word?

Vick?! Is this real life?

The delusions of grandeur by these guys (and the fans) are wild.

ESPN canned Suzy Kolber. What is wrong with this world?

Or what's wrong with ESPN? She was a staple. I remember her going back to the 90's IIRC. Might have been the first woman to break that glass ceiling, at least that prominently. Wouldn't be surprised if she finds a landing spot somewhere.

The business model for MTV ran out decades ago. I get that sports is a huge industry, but I wonder how long ESPN can last as it is. Do people still watch Sporstcenter? Or just check Twitter for breaking news.

David Pollack got canned too. I guess McAfee effectively replaced him once he signed on full-time.

She hasn't aged a day.

Yeah I was just thinking about this the other day. The convenience of finding highlights at your fingertips is nice, but it's made things like Sportscenter irrelevant which is sad for someone like me who watched Sportscenter before bed and in the mornings, for hours. Baseball Tonight too. The anchors Scott, Mayne, Patrick, Eisen are engraved in my memory. I couldn't tell you who the regulars are now.

My summertime lineup:

10 PM Baseball Tonight
11 PM Sportscenter
Midnight Baseball Tonight
1 AM Sportscenter

You had to watch both to get the west coast updates. What a time to be alive.

@FLYguy3911 this was supposed to be a reply. Man...Sportscenter in the 90's was like MTV in the 80's. I'll always miss it, and life goes on....it was just so much fun. You had Craig Kilborn, 1st host of the daily show btw (and it was awesome!) reading you sports highlights. Those commercials!

Back to the OP though...seeing Suzy go I'm legit sad. Or old I guess. Whatever

McShay got canned too.

THAT is surprising, though when you think of it there really is a lot of overlap with Kiper there. They didn't have the patience to stick with Pollack, I guess. It is a shithole of a company, and has been since fairly soon after it was bought and lost its plucky underdog identity. There is a shitload of terrible "talent" on the air now.

A comment from another thread made me wonder something. I know there will always be people yelling to run the ball. But for those that listen, are WIP and the like still running out raw Rushing Attempts or Pass/Run% as meaningful/accurate stats these days? I’m so disconnected from that world that I have no clue.

Sort of, yes. But to be fair, there hasn't been a lot to criticize in a while. However if the run seems like it's getting pushed away, they will absolutely say you gotta run more.

Also, another topic...

Are we getting to the point with this "the field was bad during the Super Bowl" talking point that we're starting to become as big of whiners as the Niners?

Perhaps I can't truly understand how badly that hurt our D-line, but it just seems like both teams played on bad turf, we even had the lead for half the game+, and we just blew it (thanks, Gannon).

Yes. It's long past time to move on for those still whinging on about it.

Naturally they won’t do anything because they’re all in bed with each other but a man can dream.

This is wild. I did not realize how intertwined things were. The fact that these betting outfits have journalists writing for them about games and players that can potentially impact lines and betting trends is insane. I can't think of a bigger conflict of interest other than actual players betting on their own games/sports.

12 Sundays until Eagles football, boys

Nepotism Football League.

Same as the Nepotism Hockey League.

Although I'm not getting too worked up over his son getting a shot on the 90-man roster as like the 6th TE during the offseason...
I've got news for you, everything everywhere is nepotism, it is not just sports. That's the old "not what you know but who you know" adage.
