The team had like 6 shots at the 15 min mark of the 2nd period. G scored on like our 10th shot around the 12 min mark of the 2nd, so basically half way through the game. Up until Gs goal they were extremely lack luster.

After that they were better for the rest of 2nd period. The 3rd was ok.

If they are playing a team that isn't as ice cold as Philly they probably lose something like 4-2.

It was another lack luster game where the effort was pretty mediocre. Winning the game doesn't mean they played well. It just means we played a team that is struggling hard core right now and we were able to score a few when they couldn't find the net.

Adjusting for Philly being bad their xGF is only 42.4% against a competent hockey team.

If the decision was Necas and Drouin vs Rantanen only I'm glad we made that trade.

In fact it'll probably be Necas+Drouin+~2 million or so for Rantanen.

I know he's not been lighting the lamp but I had a quick look at money puck and it seems like he's got a goals above expected of -0.7. that doesn't seem that bad. His stats seem better than it seemed he was playing.

The Avs weren't great today. Another inability to generate high danger chances against a very bad hockey club demonstrates this team's need for more high-end forward depth.

Getting dinguses like Mittelstadt, Colton, and Wood off of this team for players with legit skill would be a godsend.

Whenever Colton and Wood are on the ice I expect nothing offensively and potential breakdowns defensively.
