Is this the new trend now? get outshot and rely on our puck luck. And play "Lalonde not to lose" hockey. Reason the Canucks looked good is because we let them do whatever that period. We had no engagement. Need to be better in the 3rd.

Speaking of Red Bull, reminds me of that first game back after the '06 Olympics and Homer was the only Wing Swede to play. He said he had 4 Red Bulls throughout the game.

I don’t think that’s how back to backs work. I guarantee they slept in. It’s next to impossible to drain all the lactic acid and recuperate muscles to full strength in <24hrs.

Do you have any idea how huge an impact good AHL DMan would have on this roster right now?

Or how great it would be to not have to look at Tank next yr / to be able to spend his $5M on someone with a pulse?
 
Burger's true potential is in 2yrs, when he's centered by a fully realized Macro Kasper, and either Mazur or Soda on the opposite wing, and it will be one of the best, more deadly 3rd lines in the league. With Kasper screening the crease and looking for clean up, running clever pick plays, redirects, and set up and Soda or Mazur just clearing space for Burger to operate. We saw 2/3rds of it when Kasper centered Burger and we were all like "Oh! He looks good with Kasper!' and we saw it again last night with Soderblom and people going "Oh, it's crazy how good Berger looks with Soda creating open space for him and him ripping it"...now add those two things together. That was the AHL last year when they crushed it for the last back half of the season and into the playoffs.

The narrative is the same for all of these guys: Berggren, Kasper, Johansson - really good players. Win at multiple levels. Have been doing it for a while. The SHL, the AHL, and now they are beginning to work in the NHL. Be patient and let them bake. FFS

Need Lyon to win this one for us. Another goal would be lovely however.

Also, you just know the obligatory PP is coming for the Nucks since they are behind. Gonna need the PK to do work.

Coach is clearly managing the strain of 3 games in 4 nights. I thought Holl had been out there more, nope he still has the least time for all dmen. His minutes just stand out as shit

McLellan realized in the 1st that Holl alone WOULD be enough to lose this game
