Randomly ended up on Garrett Klotz's ECHL team's EP page the other day. He's still kicking around.

Used a 3rd rounder on this guy. Hilarious.

I was at the game when he had a seizure after having a fight when he was on the phantoms. It was one of those deals where if ya were at the flyers game, your ticket would get you into a phantoms game afterwards at the spectrum. That name just brought up a strange memory. What a horrible thing to see at a game.

Zamula, 0 shots, 0 points, -3
Ginning, 1 shot, 3 assists, +2.
Would be very entertaining If Ginning turns out to be a bottom pair NHL dman.

Any idea what kind of role he is playing on the Phantoms? Getting quality minutes top 4 minutes? Playing the PK?

I've seen Luke Schenn win two Stanley Cups. I wouldn't rule out Ginning carving out a nice carrer for himself.
The raw skillset has always been there but he really needs learn how to avoid glaring mistakes and how to manage a whole game. Things Risto is still struggling with 10 years into his pro career.

You went from "Zamula is more ready for the NHL than York", to "Zamula is worse than Ginning in the AHL" in record time. :snide:
Zamula has regressed as the season has gone along.
Injury?
Sulking about being sent back?

York on the other hand took his demotion to heart and raised his game.

Ginning has played surprisingly well.
Wonder if @Appleyard has caught any of his LHV games and can give us a read on whether he's improved or it's just "puck luck".

More specifically, York hasn't raised his game. This is who he is. He was showing these skills last season, but he had hesitancy because that's what the punitive processes ruling this shit team work. This is who he has been.

If Zamula was even better than him and now is worse because of how he has been handled, then the team has f***ed something up.

Is he the guy we took when Bjorkstrand was still on the board? I’m not a draft guy but knew immediately it was a mistake

That was Goulbourne. Buchnevich, Guentzel, Duclair, Bjorkstrand -- no one special went immediately after. The Flyers actually ranked Bjorkstrand higher and still blew up their board for Goulbourne, if you want to talk sheer competency.

To be fair, Minnesota took Kurtis Gabriel before Bjorkstand too. Fletcher and Flahr love their high upside picks.

He showed them last season, but not in TC or initially in LHV.
It took him a couple months to get back on track.
