Flyers just claimed a has been 29 yo center off waivers. Say goodbye to the youth movement. They just can't help themselves to that veteran presence. After all it has worked so well these past 40+ years
Thanks. Forgot about that. All the previous guys I remember being in camp were Junior players.

Lycksell is a LW making the transition from SHL to NA hockey.
He looked totally lost at RW.
If you really think development is important, you want him in LHV playing major minutes at LW.
Let him first adjust to NA hockey, then try him on his off-side in the AHL, if he looks comfortable then and they still have a hole on the right side, then let him try RW in the NHL.

BC fans had to wait a little bit to see Gauthier make his BC debut, after he missed the Eagles’ first two regular season games.
But Gauthier made it clear last night in his Eagles debut that he’s going to be fun to watch all season long, making an instant impact with a highlight reel goal that gave BC a short-lived 3-2 lead in the third period:
So much of what makes Gauthier an enticing prospect was on display here: the raw speed, the frame that made him so tough to defend (and helped draw a penalty even before he put the puck in the net), the quick release.
Though BC wasn’t able to hang on to the 3-2 lead, Gauthier’s contributions were crucial in what ultimately was a 3-3 tie - a solid result on the road against a top 10/15 team and a quality performance early in the growth process of a young team.
Beyond his goal, Gauthier looked solid throughout, and his line with Colby Ambrosio and Nikita Nesterenko looks to be a dangerous, legit first line that can do some damage in Hockey East. Gauthier had 4 shots on goal, tied for second on the team with Ambrosio, and the line overall combined for 9 shots and 3 points.

Keep in mind Pronman says straight up his re ranking is not based on this year. I think Ersson will be a lot higher next year if he stays healthy

I think he will . Goalie goes down at some point. He needs to play regularly for a few months and development wise is in the best place for now

More than thinking he was a defensive specialist, I think he’s a 5th year senior that no one cares about. You don’t have to take in every stray. Meanwhile, you dump on one of the more productive players in college because of a 10 game NHL sample that has been passable at worst. I feel like that’s the wrong way around but hey.
