This is kinda like the definition of pornography; it may be difficult to define, but you know it when you see it.

And last night I saw 2. (soft goals that is... well, the other as well)

Yep, it's time to hand the reigns over to Bernier and see what he can do with it through the final stretch. Sutter has been loyal long enough to Quick (rightfully so).

Didn't watch too much last night (time difference) but I noticed somebody earlier said Richards' hurt. I did check the game stats and notice his TOI (and Carter's) is way down (and has been dropping over say the last 12 games); last night some 7 minutes less than Kopitar where normally he might be 1, 2 or 3 minutes less than Kopi. Now this is troubling for 2 reasons. Either Richards is hurt, in the dog house or out of shape, all of which on their own or together is not a good thing. Secondly, even though Kopi's a horse, plays longer than normal shifts and can play big minutes, I worry Sutter may be burning him (and Brown) out; Williams I don't worry about cause players like him are a dime a dozen. Sutter has even mentioned that he's afraid that he's playing Kopitar and the others on that line too much. Any comments?

Maybe. There were a couple of shifts last night where you could just tell Kopi was gassed but the puck kept coming back to him

Injury to Richards or not (which would be a bummer--not downplaying), that line is pretty garbage at keeping the puck and putting up sustained pressure...i figured that was the reason for the collectively shortened playing time.

13 games back is when he took that violent blindside side vs. Calgary. Prior to that he was playing well, so therei s a direct corelation to less TOI due to injury. But that line still should be playing better during the minutes they are on there and in some games they have, others, like lat night, not so muich. RIchards played well in the 3 games prior to last night
That line needs a true top 6 LW that can balance it out, which is what I think DL is trying to do today. They need to cycle more not be 1 of 2 shots and done.
Any you're right about that 1st line playing too much. I guess they have a timeline and hopefully, whatever that injury is it will be better by the playoffs and/or that a top 6 LW will give them the balance and scoring they need.

pornography is easily defined. If it's a something you want to see and it gets you excited, it's porn.
If it's something you don't want to see, it's art.

Thanks to you (and MN14) for the input

With the point spread under six points for eighth place how many more loses like this can the Kings take? Maybe it's time to pass the torch to Bernier for a few games. Kings seem to play better when he does start...
