Thanks for the opinions, if he's heading to the IR soon I should probably drop him now in my Yahoo pool.

If he's not on the IR now he ain't gonna be on it. I'd like to see him healthy scratched a game or two just to let him rest up....but I doubt that happens either. He's most likely gonna just play through it.

Awesome win tonight....most excited I've been since last June.

Can't believe that Kane was able to get away with two high sticks and Richards is called for a follow through on a shot.

NHL refs have had a rough season.

I hope herby enjoyed that game. His favorite player with the sniped SH goal. :D

I was wondering about that myself. Seems kind of out-of-whack to assess a high-sticking penalty on a follow through with a shot...of course, the way Richards fanned that shot, maybe the referee was assessing a sarcasm penalty. :/

Terrible game but I'll take the two points...the team didn't play well except for maybe one line and the majority of goals were scored on a bad goalie through individual efforts. Still I'll take it for today, better than 0 goals...

Can't believe that there were four goals scored off of face offs. Fitting that the kings game winning goal was off a face off.

Toffoli sheltered on the fourth line looked much better. Smart move by Sutter.

Richards should sit if he is hurt. Doesn't look the same out there the past few games.

First period lines were horrific. Glad Sutter switched them back quickly.

Huge two points for the kings. Need to keep it going against st. Louis.

Kings dominated the shots again. Finally rewarded with some goals.

Could use some big saves by their goaltender.

I agree. Great in-game adjustment by Sutter who always seems to do things with a purpose. I didn't think Toffoli would be getting off the bench in the 3rd period.

Terrible game? They dominated the last two periods. Not sure how that constitutes a terrible game.

I think he was watching a DVD replay of the banner-raising game by mistake.

There is no getting around home ice bias...that's why the three stars have becoming something of a joke in some arenas.

No place is more bias than the Ponda Center. The Kings once shut out the ducks 4-0 and 2 of the 3 stars were ducks.:shakehead

I don't consider getting scored on four times and playing catch up 80% of the game a good game. If Mitchell and Greene were there, probably we win 4-1. Any time we let in four goals, we have to look at what went wrong. We're a puck possession, defensive team, not a run and gun.

Plus what I already said about what kind of goals we scored...

It's like Sutter knew he was going to put the lines back to normal in the second period....you know?

It was destiny. I expect we will see King skate with the 2nd line guys, Clifford with the third liners against St. Louis. That's if Penner doesn't come back in for Toffoli, which I don't believe he will.

That's some great revisionist history there.

The game was tied for 28 minutes. The Blackhawks led for 23 minutes. How exactly is that 80% of the game. The Kings far outchanced and outshot the Blackhawks. In no way, shape, or form does that constitute a terrible game.

They limited a team that averages 31 shots a game to 25. They racked up 36 shots against a team that averages 27 against. I would bet lots of money they controlled the scoring chances, too. I will post them as soon as Robert from Jewels from the Crown posts his report.

I know it won't likely happen, but we all know (assume at least) that RICHARDS is playing injured, and has been playing rather poorly as a result ... so just give the guy a game or two off to rest and heal up. With the guys we have, I'd like to see something like ...

BROWN - KOPITAR - TOFFOLI (but with some reduced ice time for this line, Sutter even mentioned he's been playing Kopi's line too much lately)

PENNER - CARTER - WILLIAMS (increased ice time)

CLIFFORD - STOLL - LEWIS (increased ice time)

KING - FRASER - NOLAN

Give it a shot, couldn't hurt ... remember when I said take Doughty off the PP ... and look what happened :sarcasm:

I feel sorry for you. That was one of the most exciting, fun to watch games of the year.

That was one of the best games of the season and we have fans like this who just can't enjoy it for what it is. :shakehead

I've watched Toffoli's goal 5 times and I'm still not sure how he got that much on his shot and scored.Just flat out sick shot!
