Al Iafrate?
No. I am rewatching.

Bloody *Jason Allison.*

Squeaky voice Jason Allison, who wanted out when his contract was up, refusing negotiations and all comment to the media, to the entitled irritation of KPD.

Why would Sqeaky come back to Boston? My understanding is that he hated it here, at least in terms of management and getting paid properly.

Jason Allison.

Brought to Boston along with Anson Carter in exchange for rightly disgruntled Adam Oates, who shot himself out of town (admittedly a characteristic) with a very public eff off to Sinden's comically inept heir, Mike O'Connell.

(Also See: "The Thornton "trade," as it were.)

Marking cash cow time with static, miserly "management" en general.

Allison looks like a a paunchy, avuncular Paul Giamatti in "The Holdovers."

Perhaps he teaches high School science.

Oy!

Good win. I guess. Would have preferred they stepped on the throat instead of letting them get back into it.....

McAvoy is so much better when he thinks the game less. He has everything. Biggest hurdle is the mental side.

Marchand didn't have any game whatsoever. Some nights he's your best player, other nights your worst.

I still say the combination of Marchand, McAvoy, Pastrnak on the PP, in the current formation at least, has to end. Especially when Marchand and Pastrnak are your primary options. Its honestly a mess. They both turn the puck over frequently and put their heads down and dog it getting back when they do.

I've said before Kastelic deserves some looks in the top-6/9. Good to see him make an impact. Gets to the front of the net. Skates well. Underrated hands. Doesn't back down from anyone. Wish you could teach that to guys like Beecher and McLaughlin. Probably too late in their careers to be anything other than a pretty college boy.

I think that Kastelic was one of the intended guys for the new PP1 formation?
But, by the time they got a PP (after the scrum he was in with Wifi) he was
serving his 10 minute misconduct for looking meanly at a Hab. Exagerating I know but yeah, I don't think he was available for that PP.

Are you sure? How was he looking?

Derek is like 80. Chara was spotted by bruinsfan1970.

Why wasn't Chara out there?

And for that matter, no Peter Chiarelli and no Claude Julien.

Class act.

Usually the Boston Bruins organization does these things very well. Things usually move right along.

I guess Peter and Claude are coming non-persons.

Stalin used to do that.

Just airbrush them out of the history.

Or am I wrong? Please correct me if I am.

Unfortunately missed this one but that 3rd line is very intriguing. Glad they rewarded Kastelic by moving him up with those guys and on the flip side hopefully his hard work can get those other two going

Best game of the year for Charlie McAvoy

Best game of the year for Charlie Coyle

Kastelic would fit right in on any of the previous Bruins eras. Keep that line together!

I LOVE that beautiful golden B on the crest. Give me those exact unis minus the gold sleeves

For a lengthy ceremony, that was very well done, classy, and emotional

You're wrong.

One is out of the country, and the other two have day jobs with St Louis.

They played Rangers last game lost 4-3 and outplayed them for stretches and Rangers are reigning Prez Trophy and picked by many to win Cup

Bruins I read beat a weak Utah team so marginalized win yet Utah beat Vegas 6-0 last night in Vegas

All wins against nhl teams are pretty good to me
Exactly ...and they're all two points each

I really don't think there's too many easy games in the NHL anymore

If you're not playing up to snuff, there's a good chance you're gonna lose, no matter who you're playing against

Yup. Loved the jerseys. Hated the sleeves

Irrelevant what he is now. He was at top of his game when traded to Ottawa
Shesterkin has a GA around 3.00
The Rangers are playing crap and he's finding out quickly it's a team sport.
The team plays crappy, it'll drag you down.

Wonder if he still wants his 12 million?

He might. I watched them play Philly and he was the only reason the Rags were even in the game. Without him Philly might have had 7 or 8.

Kastelic on pace to score 10G 13A 23P. He’s a fine 4th liner but suggesting trading a recent Vezina winner for a 23 point 4th liner puts Sweeney in the running for GM of the year is slightly absurd

Well to be fair, if we're going to use Kastelic's current pace as a judgement of what he'll bring the rest of the way out, we have to do the same for Ullmark - so it would be a quality 4th liner, a quality backup goaltender, and a 1st round pick for a guy with the 37th save percentage and worst GAA in the league.

Luckily we played an inferior team today. There’s plenty of things that need to happen such as Geekie anywhere near the top two lines and McLaughlin allowed on NHL ice. Swayman still looks shaky.
I got news for you - if you use Daily Faceoff you will see teams lines and all have bottom 6 guys in top two lines

The latest Athletic power rankings had Carolina one

Bruins just need to not lose games at home like Vancouver or Pittsburgh that they coulda shoulda woulda won: 6-0 under Sacco would look a lot better than 4-2 and they would be close to first in division

Ullmark gets banged up as we saw and Ottawa D going to drive him nuts after playing in Boston

He got the money and nice place to raise family but they just seem stuck in a kinda suck void

Allison

He got old - seemed like he was here recently but it was about 20 years ago

Time flies maybe I better stop complaining and wanting to fire everyone and trade everyone on my sports teams and enjoy life more (still not getting a donut during the week)

It’s encouraging to see the Bruins return to a defensive structure and performance that works. Their best years happen when they are near the top of the NHL in overall defense and goals against.
Yup

Everyone has injuries but Hampus would make a huge difference

I never would have guessed that was Allison. He looks to be 75 years old. The guy could feather a pass.
I was also surprised guys like Samsonov, possibly.. Thornton? My personal favorite from that era was Rob Dimaio.

I actually expected guys like Jay, LB, Billy O’ Dwyer and Shoe.
