"'Krebsy’s' a great guy, and obviously a great player.I was real excited to see that he was coming back in the trade. I played on Team Canada with him maybe four or five times, and I’ve played on a line with him too. He’s very smart, a two-way player and very responsible, so I’m excited to have him. The way he sees the game and reads the game, he’s a great playmaker, and he always finds the open guy. He’ll be a real good player here.”

I sense he'll be a perfect center for Skinner.

Or Quinn and maybe even Cozens.

What's nice is with Kreb's he's already passed 9 games, so his contract won't slide if we leave him in the minors all year. My guess is he'll get a good bit on NHL time. Quinn and Peterka might be limited because the front office wants that 1st entry level year to slide.
Krebs is on his 3rd ELC season after having his contract slide twice, his ELC now lasting for five years. He is not eligible for his contract to slide again.

Even better because it will likely be 3 2022 1st rounders.

You know we're going to piss away our added first rounders on trying to expedite the rebuild like we did in 2015.

Krebs is a solid addition though, and I am not especially worried about his failure to score in nine NHL games.

He took a moment to think about what he said, before blurting out an answer. He also seemed very informed and in the moment and humble and hungry. The guys that I want in Buffalo are the Turcotte, Horvat type of rink rats that just want to soak it up and never give up on any play. Skill and potential are awesome. We need more Goose's, Zemgus's etc. Guys who want to be here and who are hounding the puck.

Krueger was a charlatan. The guy who comes into your house and sells you a broken vacuum cleaner. Adams seems different.

I definitely agree, here. The guy who can sell you polluted air because you need to breathe in before you pass out. Krueger seemed like a sales merchant and not a coach. He could be a motivational speaker without knowing the game. I just never sensed he had a pulse on coaching. His message was always about the room environment and the emotional spectrum of his players. Which you need, but not as it for the head coach. I remember hearing that he left the systems up to the assistant coaches. Which I find as a joke. It makes you wonder that Hall was emotionally fragile and needed coddling constantly which he loved playing for Krueger because he got it in that form.

Just curious to the draftnik's, If Krebs was healthy at the draft would of been top 10 or better ?
