Pete and Miller can't go on. Rumours galore, but I think its affecting the entire team. Any locker-room that has issues sees groups formed. Those involved and their mates, those in the middle etc and this isnt new for the Canucks. Horvat and Miller didnt get along and Pete was definately part of Team Horvat during those days.

Swedes are usually great teammates. Its rare to hear about them not getting along with other players or being disruptive. But, generalising, when its not working in a team, its very hard for them to forgive and forget. While North Americans are often more expressive and happy to speak up and clear the air, swedes on the other hand, verbalising disagreements is not their thing and clearing the air doesnt mean the problem is solved.

There were rumours, two summers ago, from the F Forsberg camp (he is a Leksand alumni, just like Allvin) that the swedes in Canucks were unhappy and that Pete didnt want to sign a new contract. That rumour had him intrested in a move to the Predators. Like most I disregarded the rumour when Pete signed his enw contract. But with current rumours, it wouldnt surprise me if there was some truth to it. Apparently thats why they wanted the Sedins closer to the team.

Under no circumstance should JT Miller be put into that Buffalo Sabres lockerroom. ... even before you get to the age factor.
While I understand your concern, you've tried everything else and nothing has worked. Maybe it's worth the risk. What's the worst that can happen? You miss the playoffs again?

We have not tried everything else.

Our GM has done very little over the past 5 years except draft and develop.

Miller is not a good fit for this team

I don't know, a kick in the butt might be what they need. An ultra competitive guy could be a good thing.

We’ve had plenty over the years. Individual players and their desire to win isn’t why Buffalo has been a dumpster fire for 14 years. A 32yo Miller who keeps getting run off of good teams despite being one of their most productive players probably isn’t the fix. We do, however, need a 2nd top 6 center to go with Tage. Pettersson would make more sense, though the substantial drop-off in his production since signing his big new contract is obviously concerning. But top 6 centers without problems don’t get moved all that often.

Okay. What would be your solution then? I'm not saying that trading for Miller would 100% work, but if that's not a move you're interested in making, then what moves do you think will help?

JT is probably ultra competitive and abrasive, with EP being the opposite. I imagine he tells him to play harder and it doesn't go over well.
Knowing what I actually know of Elias, is that he’s veeeery competitive- or at least he was. I think it could be the other way around, honestly. Miller just screams obnoxious douche to me

Getting 3-4 good vets/players, reducing the number of kids on the roster. (Right now our second and third lines are all kids). Building the defense properly.

Has something like this happened before where two star players can’t stand each other to the point of a trade?
Shane Corson apparently banged Mogilnys wife so that obviously necesitated a trade . Not the same thing but a way back play back; and even further Gary Leeman slept with Al Iafrates wife , led to the Gilmour deal ( Ty Gary ) .

quinn has got to step up and end the beef.
If the Amazon series showed anything of his leadership I’d say that’s not going to happen

From what I’ve heard from Tre Kronor staff, Elias is that odd one out, meaning that he’s not humble like Sundin, Forsberg and others have been. Karlsson’s not that humble either, but his swag and confidence makes up for it, plus having a warm “heart”. There’s a difference

That seems like a good strategy, but what vets? Free agents aren't lining up to sign there, so you're probably talking about trades unless you overpay, and the best trade targets are going to have trade protection.

You may need to trade for someone like Miller, is what I'm saying. Assuming, of course, Miller would waive. Look around the league. Which vets do you want? Which are available? And which of them would accept a trade to Buffalo? The Venn diagram there is pretty small. I don't think Buffalo has the luxury of turning their nose up at a player like Miller.

I have a huge list of players. There are players on there without trade protection.

If Pettersson is available, Sabres should make a push to get him. UFA is probably not an option, but there might be something there. We signed Zucker and he was great for us. Miller, I'm not sure, I think there's something wrong with him, plus NTC.

While I’m not a big fan of EP, I think this notion that “you win with JT Miller”-thing is some made-up garbage. He hasn’t won anything, and teams like Tampa and the Rangers wanted him gone badly. He seems to have a negative aura around him. EP is an entitled child, so I get why him and JT won’t work

I don't like how speculation and rumors have become the narrative and treated as fact.

Trouble seems to follow JT Miller wherever he goes.

However, at his age, that won't last forever.

. . . You probably should ask the rest of the core who they want to stay and move the other guy.
Sure.

That way you could divide the room into factions, and have lingering resentment and animosity until all the players on the wrong side are gone.

Edmonton, Winnipeg and Calgary fans should be all for this!
