They won’t be battling each other for a playoff spot Oshawa will be at worst 3rd IMO and IceDogs will likely finish 7-8

They could meet in round 1 though. Niagara could finish as high as 5.

You’re right it could be a first round matchup but even then I would’ve been ok if he was with them in that scenario. As for where they finish I don’t think they finish above maximum 7th but I’ll be happy if I’m wrong

Doesn't look too bad on paper. Still wish we could find another ohl level forward to play on our 4th line.

Right now, it seems Oshawa could be at best 3rd, more likely 4th or 5th.

It appears that Niagara is going another route and it looks like he might now be traded to Peterborough. It likely is in Niagara’s best interest to not trade him to a contender who they could be battling for positioning with in the standings and possibly meeting in the playoffs.

No it's just exactly what I said it was, Gens were kicking tires on Bryant for if Roobroeck doesn't get sent back. NYR hasn't made a decision on Roobroeck yet

Looks like Bryant’s return isn’t imminent so I guess they will stick with the 3 OA until he’s back

Huh? The Gens had a bad start but are the most talented team in the East Division, and are clearly going all in if/when Ritchie gets returned. To say they have no shot to win the division is just wrong lol

I think Bryant, Melee and Lefebvre finalizes the OAs, unless you are hearing or thinking of something else?

If they can convince Novotny and even Gavin Lock to come, this team could look a lot more dangerous offensively.

Ya I don’t see them paying more picks to upgrade over Lefebvre.

Those 3 are the most talented OAs. Last week in the back to back with the Gens, McIntyre was the only Petes forward who really pushed back and came out really physical in the 3rd, only thing to think about. If they get rid of him, they don't have any jam up front at all. Another team keeps taking runs at Fitzgerald, who's going to step up and put a stop to that? They really don't have a guy for that without McIntyre

I don't like the idea of keeping McIntyre over one of the other two (let's be honest Lefebvre, they're not moving Melee IMO), I think it kind of defeats the purpose with acquiring Bryant and upgrading that overall skill if you just move another skill guy out the door BUT, piecing some things together, I do believe that might be exactly what is happening.

Sure and that's your call, but you said the highest the Gens can finish is 3rd, meaning to you there's no chance to you that they can win the East Division. That's crazy. Will they? Maybe, maybe not. But even the biggest Gens hater in the world couldn't say they have no chance to. They have 4 NHL 1st rounders and the reigning goalie of the year..

Anyways, congrats on the add today Petes fans, this trade definitely makes them better the rest of the season.
