Flint no longer has room for any additional overages. As overage player, Braeden Kessler was been assigned to them by the Toronto Maple Leafs. The only teams looking for overages are Brantford, Sarnia and Ottawa.
They could if they release Dann. Which I doubt they will.

There most definitely should of been a penalty given to the London player when Connor Lockhart got his penalty. The referees appeared to me to favour London late in the game giving them every chance to tie the game and later win it in overtime.
Here's my take on the game...a somewhat different narrative. As for penalties, London was incredibly undisciplined, and the refs did well to call those 9 penalties, including 5 consecutive penalties to the Knights. As well, late in the game (16:09) the refs called a match penalty on Max McCue which should have salted away the game for the Petes. In fact, when they reviewed the play, the officials rightfully decided not to change the 5 min. major to a 2 min. minor, but insisted on the 5 min. major, hardly an indication of any late game bias. Any subsequent calls may have been 'blown calls', but certainly not evidence of wanting London to tie it up.
Overall, London took 9 well-deserved penalties to the Petes 4, and that I think contributed to the shot differential. London giving up 42 shots is rare, but they spent so much of the game shorthanded (their own fault). Of the first 10 min. of the second period, London spent 8 min. SH. We'd like to see teams play the majority of the game 5 on 5, but you take stupid penalties like London did, and you pay the price...and the refs, while not perfect, didn't hesitate to escort London players to the penalty box.
Simpson played well, but I thought your goalie was his equal last night. I had deja vu when I saw the Petes defenders block those point shots, something that they were known for last season. Very difficult to get a point shot through.
PKs were perfect on both sides. 0/4, 0/9
That's just my brief take on the game, so, no, clearly not decided by the referees late in the game if you consider the timing of the M. McCue penalty, and its review.

Wait, they had 9 penalties and the Pete's didn't score on the advantage once? Yeah you don't get to complain about the refs if that is the case.

The Lockhart penalty was acceptable, though it could have gone as interference on the Knights’ D, or nothing at all called.
Ignoring Dickinson’s stick haul down of Lockhart seconds later after the whistle …Idk how that could be let go.
The goalie interference sell job by Simpson was a work of art. I needed a replay to see how contact was made.

In my opinion the referees favoured London the rest of the game because they trying to make up for calling the match penalty on Max McCue. If the referees wanted to fair in overtime maybe they would of called Michael Simpson for diving to even things up.

Owen wasn't even the 4th best Pete on thr ice last night, he should be the 1st. So I don't disagree. Cowboy stuck out like a sore thumb in a good way, Beck has the talent and ability to do the same.
He must think he should be in the show already? That’s odd. Yeah Dubois was better from what I heard.

I'm fully planted on the Jax Dubois train. Big body, excellent defensively, 55-60% faceoff guy, and with added ice has shown he can score too.

Owen Beck did dominate on face offs winning 13 out the 20 he took. He also did have seven shots on goal last night. The offence will come.

I have to take issue with the three stars last night. Michael Simpson deserved the 1st star, Liam Sztuska the 2nd and if they had to give a star to the player who scored the overtime winning goal. Isaiah George should of received the 3rd star. I think it is wrong that the visiting team to gets the 1st and 2nd stars in a close game. If the game was in London the Knights would have gotten all three stars.

But London has 17 players that do nothing. For them to win in overtime, their 3 best players are usually the 3 best players of the game.

Beck is probably still just a bit sour he's not in the NHL and is trying to force too much offensive growth. He'll snap out of it. If Beck and Lockhart were really clicking offensively right now this team would be even better

just like the media voting for the standards, does it truly matter?

This is right. I thought London played an awful game most of the night. They seemed set on settling scores from last year even though all those Petes players are not the same as this year's team. It was like they were frustrated and undisciplined from puck drop.

The Petes should have won the game and if they capitalized on a couple more PP opps, they would have. Both goalies were great.
