Humphry deserves to be hurt after that stupidity... assuming it didn't happen on the initial hit on him.
1-1-3 with all the skilled forwards.
Worst PP in the playoffs.

Pretty frustrating game. Two ugly goals by Simpson and no real pressure on a third string goalie in an elimination game. Then Beck takes a slew foot with less than a minute left in a game that was over.
The auto suspension needs to be removed from slew footing. It should absolutely be a suspension when there’s intent or injury but this happens so often when players are battling for position.

I’m glad they pulled it together but I’m still not a Wilson fan. He keeps making comments about players not wanting to be around him because he gets grumpy. Kinda makes you wonder if that’s why the regular was the way it was.

Unfortunately, if no Beck this team will struggle. The kids are tired! Three main players out of lineup, maybe a fourth. Four players (McCue, Lefebre, McCallum, Page) may have played total of 20 games all year, and now expected to play full third line minutes. Petes have played more games than London in playoffs, and have travelled considerably farther. Yes PP is crap (2-16), but so is Londons (4 - 17). However PK is #1. North Bay had top PP in league and was shut down by Petes.
If your going to criticize the Petes and their staff for making it to the OHL finals, then maybe this isnt the team for you. There is another team down the 115 that would love to have you and I am sure the Petes wont miss you.

Nope, I can love the team and hate the offensive and PP systems. And I can love the players and hate the coach.
Can only assume it’s going to be a suspension. Branch was at the game and he’s likely licking his lips as soon as it happened. Complete bonehead move by Beck. No idea what he was thinking.
It must be personal again Wilson, because if this is a hockey forum, what can you argue with?? He has them one game from the Mem Cup

I know- it’s awful isn’t it ? Beck isn’t a dirty player but it’s a bad situation.
Especially since Beck has already had a 5 min major this series

As good as Beck is (faceoffs, scoring), I think the Petes have enough depth up front should he get suspended.
If Beck is gone, Sunday is the Petes game seven. They have to give everything they have with basically two lines, and then if they can get a lead go into in a 1-1-3 (yes a 1-1-3) . For those that have any idea about the game of hockey, sometimes you need to go into a trap system to try to save energy. This team is spent, they are beat up, sore and worn out. Its been a great run but healthy bodies are the issue now.
The Petes still have a terrifying forward hydra in Robertson, Hayes,Stillman, Avon and Othmann.
If Simpson returns to form (guilty of a few softies in last couple games), yikes.
You are coming home, huge plus for the Petes.
I wouldnt be so quick to discount them.

For those that have any idea about the Petes, the team has played a 1-1-3 from minute one of game one of the regular season and it has absolutely nothing to do with saving energy.

My little nephew just basically told me off
(He is a little rep player for hockey and lacrosse)
I was whining about Beck -and my “baby” Nephew had enough of my whining
He says” if those old men ( Florida -Carolina) can play 7 periods of hockey then the Petes can suck it up for 60 mins “
I love it !
Our lads are used to adversity and they love high pressure games so this situation is tailor made for our team.
This is when they come up BIG
