I'm not convinced he's a placeholder, I haven't seen "interim" said anywhere. I think he was simply "on deck". I fully expect him to last as long as Guerin does.

The opposite of what I wanted when we have a team that's supposedly relying on a bunch of prospects to come in and fill in some gaps the next few years.

I've been reading that ... but with Nashville, their best prospects was Tolvanen, Glass, Fabbro, Trenin. I don't think they rise to the same level as Rossi, Faber etc. I think there's a strong argument that those prospects just weren't that good to begin with (Tolvanen is 8th on ATOI with Seattle). Perhaps that teams bigger problem is drafting ... and when a team is starved for talent, any prospect with any potential looks like a top six forward/top 4 dman, when in reality, you just don't have good prospects.

Be prepared to see every young player benched or stuck on the 4th line playing with scrubs while your " grit " is bumped to the top lines. If you had any hope for a younger player to develop, you can throw that right out the window and set it on fire.

In his best year with NSH, he got alot out of his star players. Forsberg, Josi, Duchene, Johansen had career years during that year. And I think we have a better future young core than Nashville had.

So my concern isn't the youngsters, my biggest concern is still a Evason related problem - just how stubborn is he? Apparently he is also stubborn and that was what I was complaining the most about Dean. Again, if your prized prospect is Tolvanen, I think there's a bigger problem with your team.

Should have pried Torch away from Philly (I have no idea how coach contracts work, maybe not even possible). Have him coach until the dead cap is gone. At least I like that guy and I don't hate seeing his face on the bench like I do Dean. I can already tell im going to hate looking at Hynes' sour f***ing mug.

When I say "we tank", I have no expectation of the GM doing anything different, I just mean I will look forward to us being bad because it hopefully means a higher draft pick
