This isn't just a one game thing with EK. He's been subpar after the first month.

And He hasn't been our best. Letang is right on his heels offensively despite clean up duty in the PP role, and he PKs.

Pettersson has been #1. So EK has been #3 at best.

Letang was like the most gaffe-prone guy in the league for over a month before this run started. He single handedly lost like 3 games by himself.

Boston.

Boston may be smart enough to lay down for us. We’re a potential bye round if we make it and somehow meet them.

This team is just every emotion at once and it's hard to deal with.

I am not against the Pens in the playoffs. Their first round pick is gone so it is house money.

But it will be like giving a five year old a Lamborghini after all he has had is hotwheels and telling him to drive.

He may make it to the end of the driveway but we all know how it ends. And very quickly.

Mike Bales was the goalie coach during the Pens' back-to-back cups. With the decision to go Murray, the Pens let Bales go and hired Mike Buckley, who had a pre-established relationship with Murray.

Bales is now in Buffalo after a stint in Carolina.

Buckley was fired in 2021 and replaced by the current goalie coach, Andy Chiodo.

Yah we all Know Letang is gaffe prone.

But he still is the best play driving D at 5v5 and is one of the best in the PK role.

While EK has manned the worst PP in the league for the most of it.

Letang has been better in both ends.

Never in a million years thought that I would see that, even if it doesn't last. Sharks fans must be crushed as the pick is pretty much guaranteed to be middling at best after they got their hopes up.

Pretty trash historically vs Boston but so is the whole team so.. I have no idea. The team wins with Ned even when he sucks, that never happens with Jarry for some reason.

Honestly I'm not convinced we can't go on a run. We're a huge f-ing tire fire of a hockey team but teams get into the 8th seed and go on runs all the time.

We're hot despite the absolute mess that we are. That can matter.
