Rumor: Jared McCann available?

No idea what and if there is a plan in Seattle. Why are they dealing these guys when they just went out and signed Stephenson and Montour to big contracts. If anything, they should deal Tanev and Gourde and then hope their young players improve next season and if not, then consider blowing up the team and dealing all the veterans.

Canucks best offer would probably be a package of 1st Round Pick + Sawyer Mynio + Aatu Raty...

Willander and the Swedish Letterkenny are near untouchable.

Maybe add Soucy (or Hoglander if lucky).

Seattle doesn’t want picks, they want Joshua , O’Connor and Raty + Aman?

From a Kraken perspective, Tanev, Gourde and Schwartz make the most sense to trade now, but if we could get a Nemec level prospect by trading McCann, that would be very tempting. Dangle him and see, and if Francis doesn't like the offers, no harm done by keeping him.

He did for a small part in the previous 2 seasons. However, like others have said, he is better utilized as a winger though he can fill in a C in a pinch;
He was good as a 3c on the Pens when he began his break out into what he is now. Sullivan would keep screwing with his momentum by making him winter for Sid. But majority of that season he was a 3c and was very good in that role.

Seattle should expect quite a bit back.

Not that's it's needed, but if they also agreed to retain 50%, that opens up the ability to trade him to any team in the league.

Three PO runs with this guy??

The Kraken should do very well here, w/wo retention.

That'd be very dumb for Seattle to trade him. But based on what I've seen from the Kraken and read in this thread that the Kraken are basically ran by ownership not so much the GM.

I think Seattle could fetch five good assets for McCann considering his contract is on low term and if you were to retain 50% there's more room.

FIVE ? .... ...You mean.. 2 good pieces and maybe a throw in

It might be worth it for the Devils if the Kraken take Palat back.

I mean yeah for sure, but I don't see them doing that. And honestly? Palat hasn't been THAT bad the last ~2 months or so. His newborn daughter was in the ICU at the very beginning of the year and ever since she came home, his play has been noticeably better. Now, his contract still sucks, but yeah. He isn't a total anchor on the ice. At least not yet.

Dubas will trade for him and Justin Holl just for the privilege of keeping Holl in the Atlanta/Houston expansion draft over him

I’d trade Nemec for him . See if there is a way to get him plus Gourde for Nemec plus a 2nd or ?

When is the last time hes played center? Looks like he's been mostly a wing this season?
