he looks decent, skating so far well, L2 had a ton of possession, nice give and go with Smith, one thing I notice he skates back to the blue line immediately if the puck is fifty fifty, than i=he is late to support Rust or Zucker if they win the puck...
time to move him to wing:nod:

Kapanen is way better than Archibald.

I thought Archie agreeing with you would grab a like... @Gurglesons

Looking at the analytics for that 1st period, it's surprising how much POJ's 1st period was just low event hockey. He didn't play a ton, but he wasn't on the ice for a shot against and was only on the ice for 3 shot attempts in 4:24 TOI.

He has a 100% xGF% because he has a 0.05 xGF and a 0.00 xGA. Just bizarre low event hockey, especially when you look at how Petry did.

I think a lot of people thought he could be a store brand version of Phil because he’s relatively quick and has a decent wrister. And they may have been at least somewhat right if Kapanens game had actually progressed, but it never did.
if it was up to me I cut the losses with him, I hope I am wrong

well you also saw that Tanger played 9 minutes and had only 3 shot attempts too with 6 against...as oppose to Rutta and Smith who were killing out there, I thought POJ was solid in first, had one noticable error with quick recovery

Malkin's having a much nicer game today than he had against Detroit. He's clearly not his old self but he still looks good.

It's nice they're paying him $6 million now instead of $9.5 million.

That was some really nice defense by Petry.

He hasn't been as good as what I was anticipating coming in, but he's still clearly their 2nd best defenseman.

I am surprised that Jarry would leave that whole right side open for a shooter coming from that side, you would think that Goalies have that instinctively

I think Geno's skating looks noticeably better than last year. I'm anticipating a good year from him.
