Seth Jones is dogshit.
Plus he's got a NMC, and specifically told the Hawks he will waive to go to a contender.

Do you have a source for the interview? None of the local news outlets have anything from Dubas from this weekend.Apparently Dubas gave a postgame interview and was asked many questions but I’m going to focus on this lol…
“Asked about the need to move on from Sullivan, he says the team has generally played well even if they weren't getting results.”
Also mentions wanting to build around the core players, specifically mentions Sid, Malkin, Letang, and....Rust lol
In fairness, it's true. No one can float around and do nothing all game while getting 20+ minutes of ice time like Rust can.
Because Sullivan has done that to literally every defenseman.Played OK, but with higher end defensive partners - let's not forget that he was the man back when the Swedes lost their overtime games.
His lack of effort in the defensive zone in a Pens sweater is glaring, yet you chose to ignore it
Do you really want the source? I mean mate it will just anger you. That shit Dubas said in that quote should anger you already.Do you have a source for the interview? None of the local news outlets have anything from Dubas from this weekend.
Start times are so stupid. This is an actual 1600hr start
Except this will turn into, "see, Mike Sullivan made the right lineup decision."

the source was a season ticket holder who showed up at the Q&A and posted on another Pens site…he or she wrote separate question and answer summaries for each question asked…sorry, can’t do better than that as no press were thereDo you have a source for the interview? If we get compensated enough, I'd be down. He's got 3 years left after this compared to EK's two though.
Think it's moot anyway, cuz EK will just flex his NMC if it's Chicago.
The quality of the players on the roster or their bad contracts is irrelevant, so long as the Pens get paid enough to do it.I mean I get what you guys are going for here but haven't we suffered enough FFS?
Seth f***ing Jones?!?
That'd be great. But there needs to be enough cap space after retaining Karlsson at 50%.My thought was trade EK to another team. Take on Seth Jones from Chicago for a little something.
Be a net positive in Assets but a net negative in actual play.

Trying to win games isn't gonna be part of the equation for a long time.

Trading Rakell while taking no cap back would work.
Yeah yeah yeah yeah... I get it. You guys repeat that mantra every single day so I get it. No second round pick left behind etc. etc., etc. terrific.
My point is that it's so depressing and devoid of any pleasure or entertainment to actually you know... watch. Buncha joyless bastards. I don't care about losing if there seems like there is a driving motivation behind it and you are actually developing some talent in between. This just feels like punishment with little in the way of light at the end of the tunnel. Or at least any plan to get there.
Oh what do I care. I'm not watching this trash, anyway.
Yea or Bunting I believe.
I think Seth Jones is good enough to help us in a middle pairing role. He's 30 and his contract ends at 35 (I'm pretty sure on ages may be one year off)
Id like to think we could find a role for him.
Also yes every asset matters we are retooling / rebuilding. Karlsson wants out and he is worth assets. It sucks we are at this stage but we we are at this stage of the teams life cycle.
You know what I find depressing? How the majority of Pens boards have given up on the next Cup.Yeah yeah yeah yeah... I get it. You guys repeat that mantra every single day so I get it. No second round pick left behind etc. etc. etc. terrific.

Yohe, my man, it would be extraordinary if stuff like that didn't happen to the Pens every other week, if not more often. So dominant were the Penguins that they recorded 17 straight shots on goal to start the second period. Seventeen! This came on the heels of Saturday’s game against Washington, when the Penguins closed the first period by recording 20 straight shot attempts.
Those are the kinds of numbers you rarely see. It’s somewhat extraordinary that they lost both games
If we disregard the many games in which they don't play hard, that is.But you can’t say Mike Sullivan’s team doesn’t play hard. This team, even at this point in what has been a horribly disappointing season, almost always plays hard.
It's all a moot point as long as Sully is still here. Young guys (regardless of potential) will rot in WBS until they get called up for one game, played 2:30 with Matt Nieto and Noel Acciari, and then banished when they don't produce like McDavid. You know what I find depressing? How the majority of Pens boards have given up on the next Cup.
It's like 80% of the commenters.
Those who want them to stay as a bubble team for the next 2 decades, making a few shitty free agent moves and trades that lead them nowhere. Draft like 15th every year. No promising young core and no contention window, long-term. Those are the kinda moves the fans are hollering for. It's repulsive.
I get painted as the doomer a lot, but that's bullshit. I'm actually the one who wants to see hope rekindled the most.
If you want hope to be a thing again they have to go all-in on the draft. It's that simple.
Thanks.r

Nah man, the Penguins are swallowed into a hole and killed when superfriends Sid and Geno finally go. There won't even be a Penguins, they will turn the Paintcan into an experiential retail operation for Chipotle and Bob's Discount Furniture.
Yea, the typical Pens media of “oh look, he doesn’t suck when he’s not playing for the Pens” implying he doesn’t try here. They can’t even fathom that maybe it’s because he got to play for a coach who isn’t a giant turd. You saw Karlsson play fantastic for Sweden when the coach isn't adjusting his game in idiotic ways and still chose to say this.

Adam Fox looked like garbage playing for Sully. He is Thanos for offensively minded d-men.
I don't think shooting wristers with no traffic from the blue line deserves the lofty name "system", to be honest.
They have gone all in on the draft. The only way they could go any more all in is trading Sid and Geno and neither wants out so it is what it isYou know what I find depressing? How the majority of Pens boards have given up on the next Cup.
