Over/Under on number of players intentionally injured by the Flyers during this exhibition game.

Starting with if the goalies will be the first target.
You act like we need another team to injure our players at inopportune times. We've managed to injure ourselves just fine, thank you very much.

Today's weird Penguins vs Habs stat is that over the last three years, it's been 7-0 to the Pens with both Sid and Price on the ice at 5v5, but only 3-2 on the PP. Don't let them trip you up, Sid!

My guess is Sid goes today. He missed alot of scrimmage time. Doesn't look too laboured in that tennis clip.

Question: We get the extra home game if it goes 5 but does it go home/home/away/away/home or
home/away/home/away/home?
If Sully can have his preferred matchups the first 2 games, that would set them up well for jumping out to a 2 game lead.

I'll be catching MTL tonight too to see how they're lookin'.

Obviously the toughest part for these guys will be being away from loved ones BUT this must feel like being a kid again going to tournaments. They get to do lots of stuff together, gaming, other sports, whatever their heart desires pretty much. Only difference is they're older and there will be way less people around.
It honestly sounds like fun. Lots of stuff to do.
Wonder just how seperated they are. Like when PIT goes to eat, do they run into several other teams or?

Home-home-away-away-home.

And they're completely totally separated for the first five days to ensure nobody came in with uncaught Coronavirus and infects everyone, but after that restrictions are lifted but there's still no real need to mix with other teams due to rotas for practice time etc.etc. and large reception rooms for each team.

I think he meant to say “Letang” but he put “Penguins” in there instead....

Given how different the tweet is to the article, I doubt Jesse had anything to do with it at all - not a lot of mention of the Canadiens goading the Pens into mistakes from what I remember reading...

So, if you bet the series and the virus shuts it down you get your money back as expected. But it might take up to 48 hours. Currently Pittsburgh is -195.

Players traditionally aren't paid in the post-season...

Considering this team is about a sturdy as champagne flutes strapped together with wet noodles, you can't be blamed. But I can tell you most guys will absolutely want to go to get one in under their belt before the actual games start in a very short series. And this being the only one... probably even moreso.

So.... what is the conversation here?

People are stinking about players not getting paid in the post season so we should be grateful they are playing?

So they were getting paid to sit for 2-4 months and now people are complaining they are playing without pay?

Confused. Don't really care either.

Yeah check out Letang in the neutral zone here.

Oh wait. That's Crosby.

No, he’s not the only one who does it, but he probably has the most TOs per game of any player...for good reason as he has the puck on his stick a lot but even you must concede he often is more risk taking than he needs to be in various circumstances

I'm coming to the conclusion that many here are so traumatized (due to the virus), that they can't accept the possibility of enjoying Hockey again.

This is our last best chance. I've said that for over a month now and I stated the reasons over and over again as to why I believe it. Enjoy it now while you can, because this core and these elite talents aren't getting any younger.

Hand to heart I can't think of many Letang mistaks in the neutral zone. Bad decisions in his own zone, yes. Go for a risk in their own zone and get caught with his pants down, yes. The neutral zone, not so much. Much as I love his game right now, Malkin seems the most likely to overplay his hand there.

Incidentally, I had a look at NST for a sense of match-up history, and I'm now expecting Julien to try and get Danault out there vs both Crosby and Malkin, with Suzuki getting plenty of both too, and Sullivan being very happy to play along. Don't think he's going to try and play the match-ups too much.

That’s been Sullivan’s MO, but he needs to do more matching up imo...Sid with an injury and 34 year old Malkin should be getting prime offensive minutes against the Habs lesser players, especially third pair D....let Blueger’s line grind and fight Danault, hopefully to a draw...

Go watch Malkin and Letang on the power play and you'll see the neutral zone mistakes. Ugh.
