I continue to just be super impressed with Pickering, it's surprising to see how composed he is defensively as a 20 year old. I don't know if he'd be in the NHL if this team wasn't crap but he's really making a case that he shouldn't be going back down.

He looks like a rookie Dumoulin, but rookie Dumoulin was 24 while Pickering is 20.

Pickering has made the thought of losing pets a little easier to deal with

The reality is that they should have both Pets and Pickering in their top-4, but sadly they stink so they can't justify keeping Pettersson.

Pettersson-Karlsson and Pickering-Letang would have been a nice top-4 to end the Crosby/Malkin era if Pettersson wasn't a pending UFA.
