Yeah the Devils speed tortures the Pens. Can't get any separation to create offense.

I looked it up on edge, as a team we’re actually very similar in speed. The difference is their top guys are burners. The Hughes brothers, Bratt are like 98-99th percentile in the league.

And that elite speed helps the other guys too. Opens up ice for them. So even when Jack Hughes isn’t putting up points his impact is still felt.

Yeah, people talk about speed like the 2015-2016 Cup squad. But that squad wasn't all that fast either, more they were just relentless and other teams were way slower. And we had some players that were legit fast too.

Very good point. Our team speed has much improved, but in the case of the Devils, Avs and Oilers their high end talent is video game level speed. And that's literally and figuratively where they garner separation from us.
