Coming from Hextall and early stage dementia Rutherford, I would have loved it if they signed Daffy Duck to be the POHO. I'm giving Dubas rope, if he hangs himself... ok, but for now? I'm all in.

Can't believe after all his f*** ups and injuries at the worst possible timing year after year, not only he doesn't get canned but he gets a raise that really does not justify not even close what he brought to this team in the past. I still haven't digested the Isles goal in game 5 from 3 years ago and his most recent one, the behind the goal scored by the Hawks to close our season in a crucial game last year. Not even close. That one was buyout friendly and a position you could play 8-10 minutes a night. This one literally plays all 60 (for the 8 games he's healthy at any given stretch) and does nothing but bleed goals and let in backbreakers.

I honest to God think this is Sullivan convincing the front office knowing full God damned well he can blame Jarry's inconsistency and/or health on the fact we miss the playoffs for the next 5 years or make them and get bounced.

You are overreacting. Jarry is an average to below average starter. He's nothing special but he's a usable NHL caliber talent. Johnson was not. It was worse.

I have been in a great mood all day. Money in the Bank was awesome. My San Antonio Spurs are doing some pretty nice things this offseason. The Astros are on a little winning streak. The Penguins had a solid draft.

Then, they go and sign Jarry, Not only did they sign him, they married the sorry POS. El Matador will be our headache for the next 5 years. Thank you for wasting the twilights of our Big 3.

We had no other option unless they were going to trade for Gibson. He had us bent over a barrel. I wish it was only 3 years. For 5, I figured his hit would have been 0.750-1m less.

He got the bag, unfortunately. They are going to have to keep 3 goalies on the roster because all of them can go down for months at any time.

As soon as Andersen was off the board, along with Hill, I would’ve hoped we would’ve looked at the trade market.

Desmith has the same problem backup goalies for the Pens have had for decades…. When they play a little, the Pens play smart defense in front of them… as soon as they start playing regularly the team hangs them out to dry like they do with starters and they flounder…. Desmith goes put of control way too much.

The pens inevitably will need a goalie that can play stretches when Jarry is out… honestly if there isnt a good vet available, just use a young guy because the team will absolutely play sound in front of him to shelter him …
