Accicari at 2 mil is not worse than Saad at 4.5 mil relative to the needs to this team. A 2 mil cap ht for a year and a half is not that big of a deal on a team going nowhere. And no way are we trading a 3rd to do so, that's just poor asset management. Not gonna happen.

Acciari has no trade value.

A 20 goal Saad does.

You're short sighted and foolish as usual.

Saad did just score 26 goals last year which would've put him 4th on the team. He has a whole lot more value than Noel.
But there's zero chance Dubas trades for him unless there's heavy retention.

Not at double the cap hit he doesn't. Cap space is something on a team such as ours that is very important. We could take on salary for a lesser at the deadline and get a 2hd rounder. Heck, 2.5 mil in cap space is worth a 2hd by itself, when it's prorated maybe an additional pick.

The Athletic did mock trade proposals for each team. Pettersson is listed as the target for the Oilers and Rangers, with the ask from James Mirtle being a first round pick in either situation.

For the Penguins, Rob Rossi targets Marco Rossi from Minnesota. Mirtle's ask is Bryan Rust. Rob Rossi notes that targeting a young center prepares the Pens for life beyond Malkin, who could end up more permanently on Sid's wing.

Rust for Rossi would be such an instant and quick yes from me that I can't fathom a single way the Wild even consider it.

Sure his production is getting inflated by playing with Kaprizov, but he has 25 points in 30 games and just turned 23. Guerin should be fired if he'd trade him for Rust.

Of course you would for another 5'9" player.

Hoglander and now Rossi. Yeah, he's doing okay with Kaprizov, but here he would being doing with Bunting, Tomasino, O'connor and so on not on the top #1 line.

Don't have to worry. Minny has $2 mil in space and Rossi counts 890k.

Yea just say no to good young players if they’re a certain size, because.

Unless you missed the rest, do you expect him to supplant Crosby?

And yes, for me size does matter. As far as the majority of the lineup goes. As far as any chance of a playoff chances go. He's not going to get the same liberties here as he's getting in Mini.

To go from a Crosby/Malkin to a Rossi goes? Yes. Size matters.

Rossi is a fairly recent top-10 pick that has become a legit top-6 center at age 23. Saying no to Rust for him would be one of the dumbest things you could possibly say. It's an immediate yes before Minnesota has the chance to fire Guerin for doing it.

Rossi for Rust would be one of the worst deals made in the last decade if Minnesota actually did it.
