Pavs for the PP coach would be good.

Fact is this roster is 85-90% Dubas and the issues with it are now Dubas' fault.

This would be like blaming Shero in 18-19 for the state of the Penguins.
This team was abysmal before he got here. Considering the age of the core it's logical to conclude it will only get worse.

How are they Kyles fault? His best players are far past their primes, yes? He didn't have Sid and Geno when they were 27 or 30. If you wanna blame him for taking the job, well, ok, but it's a good gig, long term and that pays well. But he can't outduel father time.

What you do is accrue picks and prospects, bring in a staff that's apt at developing them and hit on your high draft picks. That's what he's endeavoring to do. Time will tell if he's successful or not. So far, so good.

The two worst contracts on the team are because of Dubas and EK is probably the most overpaid player on the roster and he was also brought in by Kyle.

If the goal is what you said it is, Dubas' first season here purposefully burned a top 15 1st and a ton of cap space on unmovable contracts.

The team was in a great place contract wise and asset wise when Dubas came here. We had 20+ mil and all of our 1sts and 2nds outside of the Granlund trade.

It’s both their faults. NHL GMs are stupid in general and then you add in duel mandates to rebuild and compete from ownership bad moves are going to happen.

That was done just after Kyle got the job. He didn't understand just how dire things were at that time. I don't remember anyone at that time dissenting about bringing EK in come to think of it. Collectively we viewed it as this teams last chance. He made an effort to appease the core and afforded them an opportunity and they soiled the bed. What GM wouldn't do that?

Since then and after being here for some time he garnered a better understanding on the matter and chose the correct direction by accruing picks, prospects and young assets overall. Which is exactly what he should be doin. No GM is gonna be perfect.
