They should be shunned by society and be limited to their ''own'' league.I think the one thing we can say with certainty is that there are too many damned Con(n)ors in this league.

I feel like Hinostroza can produce here. He's scored at a Hagelin level on other teams. He's played on the PK here and there but certainly nowhere near Hagelin. Still, 2 points in 3 games with a noticeable skating burst. Maybe his role has room to grow.A Sheary or (prime) Hagelin type tweener is exactly what the team is missing
I definitely think he can find a 4th line role, not sure about being able to play top 6 but weirder things have happened.I feel like Hinostroza can produce here. He was the 4th leading scorer in Arizona in '19 and got some PP time. Yeah I don't have any expectation he's a genuine top 6 player in hiding but someone like a EROD or Hagelin, chemistry goes a long way. Maybe he's a better Brian Gibbons if you need a spot filled.I definitely think he can find a 4th line role, not sure about being able to play top 6 but weirder things have happened.
Kind of funny how much leash Rakell gets compared to Rust or Guentzel. I guess he still has new player smell on him. Not that I have any big complaints about him. He'll be producing at his good-to-moderate rate soon enough.

I don't understand the level of hate O'Connor has received. He's been quite competent and his speed/size have been helpful on L3.
Sure, I wish he didn't have spaz DNA but I'm not in a hurry to upgrade on him.
As for Rakell, he's a decent top-six winger that people exalted because they legitimately despise Bryan Rust. Somewhat earned by his play last season, but a lot of the board hates Rust because Sullivan likes him so much. In reality if Rust waived his trade clauses we'd have a ton of interest in him.
Because he's once again on pace for under 20 points, which is bad for a 3rd liner. Especially considering he's playing with 2 guys who are playing at extremely high 3rd line levels so far this year.
He has 20 points in 91 career games and is really not giving any sort of indication that his production is going to improve.
With how we use the third line, I'd be elated to play the opponents to a draw and then any production is a bonus.
Definitely open to mixing it up and trying Hinistroza there, but I think DOC is part of the play-driving even if his end product and offensive vision is terrible.
Finding "That Guy" who came with tons of playoff experience is gonna be hard to find, let alone his speed.Prime Hags would be a sick fit with Lars Eller.

Well yeah, JR got insanely lucky with his moves in the 2015 off-season and 2015-2016 season. It's not normal for GMs to strike gold on moves like he did over those years.
I did get through it though...Infinite Jest, bruh. Meant to be read and not understood. Also involving Tennis
I think people care too much about production, and in DOC's case I think his tendency to score in bunches/low percentage of the line's points means he'll get his soon enough, but I do also think he's quite clearly the easiest to remove guy from that 3rd line. He's the third wheel there.
Although to a certain extent, if the 3rd line prospers with him there, why change it? I know we're always looking to get better and suspicious of short term trends, but the line that's a +3 over 9 games with a glittering xGF% while playing with 27% offensive zone starts isn't really on my list of things to change.
Is the line good because of him or Zohorna? The 3rd line stunk when it was Harkins-Eller-O’Connor and then it became great after swapping Zohorna and Harkins.
I’m not pounding on the table to make any changes right now, but as soon as the 3rd line has a hiccup I’m pulling O’Connor off of it. By the trade deadline, I’m hoping they’ve acquired someone to push O’Connor to the 4th line, ideally the 4C spot to push Acciari to RW.
Or let’s give the 25 year old in his first full season a chance to ride it out.
He’s produced similar numbers to Lafferty.
Like, DOC is exactly the player we should
be giving a chance.
I'm with you on this one. I see no urgency to boot the still-developing guy from a very functional line. He's been low-event but decent enough.Or let’s give the 25 year old in his first full season a chance to ride it out.
