Because he'd make the ******* big save. :help:

Yes, he has done that most of the time so far in his one month as an NHL starter. We know from watching Murray that goalies who start off hot never go through slumps or regressions.

You are aware that a goalie is allowed to make a glove save; after giving up a rebound, on a deflection or on a one timer. Right?

I don't even care that much that he didn't make that stop. The rebound was the bigger sin.

But the magnitude of how bad E.P. beat him - by literally feet - demonstrates how bad his glove reaction time is. It's a huge problem and always will be. Everyone knows high glove is the book on Murray.

A guy who used to be funny before most of you were born.

Kind of like Chevy Chase.

You know you're old if you remember when Eddie Murphy was funny.

You know you're ancient if you're old enough to remember when Chevy Chase was funny.

My first date was to a Chevy Chase movie.

I don't remember him ever being that funny. Now Gilda Radner . . . . I guess that too makes me ancient.

In other matters, I guess we know what the subject of the PGT will be. . . .

I would be really concerned with Sullivan's judgement if he made a decision on who their starting goalie is based on tonight.

Culmination of nights.

Tonight is just the latest notation in Sully's diary.

It. Hit. The. Bottom. Of. The. Cross. Bar.
That’s medium to you? Stop your meltdown for 5 seconds and stop moving the goalposts. A medium-height shot, in your opinion, hits the bottom of the cross bar?
If a player is in as tight as Pettersson was and Murray is as high out as he was, the puck goes over his glove at a mid level height and hits the crossbar.

That's what people used to say in the Murray versus Fleury debate in 2016.

If people can't see that the guy we're facing in Markstrom is the guy that Murray is SUPPOSED TO BE but isn't...man I don't know.

It's pretty simple. Murray isn't a great or even average physical talent but had a tremendous mental edge that he's since steadily lost. With that mental edge gone let's start treating him for what he is now and not his accomplishments 2-3 years ago.

Nail on the head. It's tough watching him right now. He looks slow and plays small. It is massively annoying to see every f****** shot go glove side and he's not even close to sniffing them.
