I do genuinely find it hilarious that so many people on here think the Penguins suck and this year is a lost cause, but they're mad at Hextall for not adding players to this team at the deadline.

The goal should be to give the team a punchers chance to win a round this year while also building for next. Guys under contract fit that mold, and the Pens left side on defense is already bad and will likely be worse next year.

I’m just mad if they absolutely stand pat and do nothing. Ether add by trading for someone that’ll be here next year. Or trade some expiring players out for whatever picks or assets you can get. It’s obvious this team isn’t going to have the horses to go all the way this year. So ether see if you can shuffle the deck chairs a bit and get it then roll the dice. Or trade away some players to free up space and get cards in your hand for next year. But sitting still and doing nothing ether way. It’s just frustrating.

They’ve been given everything they wanted for their entire career. It’s time to start building the prospect pool. If they don’t like it, they can be granted one last request. Pittsburgh does not owe these guys 3-4 more years of mediocre hockey to appease them - only to leave the fans and org with 03’ all over again when the “core” hangs them up.

Same comment as above, I want them to sell but the core would almost definitely get extremely mad if you do that.

Adding to this team is pointless because they're not going to win anything this year. I want them to sell, call up young guys to see what you have in them and then use the assets in the off-season to fix the issues on the team.
