When has their been a player who’s come in to play in the top 9 where Sullivan has not said “he has good offensive instincts” lol

It’s a combo of players and how the coach wants to play…I also fault the coach for the players however, as he favors non-skilled players in the lineup over gifted offensive ones…

And did anyone follow up and ask Mr. Smug if he was aware that there are only 5 teams in the league with fewer ACTUAL goals?

No because it’s clearly all about the players and there’s nothing he can do about that lol

Quicker we are out of the playoff picture the more people will realize Sully needs to go.
Everybody realizes Sullivan needs to go. Even the few Sullivan defenders on here have resorted to "Well, he's not the only problem." as their best line of defense.

Unfortunately, the only exception to that seems to be the people that matter, FSG and Dubas

It depends on what your goals are. If it's Cup or bust, then nothing really matters. But if you just want to give the core a chance to get into the playoffs again, I think you can do both IF you can trade Jake and re-sign him in the offseason....

.....and fire Sullivan.
Yeah that's the Minnesota Wild mindset. We've seen where that leads.

I'm not saying it's Cup or bust, but you have to at least put yourself in a position where you have a legitimate chance to win it all, and aren't counting on a Cinderella run every year.
I would happily sacrifice 5+ years to get the team to that point. That would be taking things seriously, unlike whatever the hell this is.

This roster is bad. But its not THAT bad. There has to be ten teams above us in the full league standings that are worse.

Theres too many teams with an even worse list of skaters that are able to have interesting games.

Meanwhile we have to just hope our goalies stand on their head and our forwards accidentally bounce something in the opposing goal.

Yeah but the WC point line moved up…that was the key thing
Tampa is in 8th and has played five more games than the Pens. The Flyers have played 4 more and are 3rd in Metro.

The Pens are 9 points behind both.

The Pens have to actually win the games in hand, but doing so would eventually close the gap significantly.

It will be the biggest heist if they steal a spot

Would be the subject of legends

They have to maintain like a .675 winning %, maybe more, the rest of the way and they’ve been at like .579 …it’s not going to happen, people
