Why can’t we play Miller with Fox? Jones with Trouba? Schneider and Braun?

Agreed. Playing Braun (with Fox) against Crosby just to keep Miller and Trouba together makes little sense.

Laf and Kakko have a combined 5 shots in 9 periods. C‘mon boys.
That’s just plain bad!
They had a good first period in game 1.
Just incredible a guy like Miller can do what he does at both ends of the ice and both these guys can’t combine for more than 2 shots per 60 min???

Eddie O was brutal tonight - no way Igor tried to ram into Carter (Igor whiplashed back which indicated he wasn’t expecting contact). For koharski to then come on and agree 100% was ridiculous.

After the Vatrano goal, Eddie says “Pens need to find a goalie fast!!” Was Domingue really that bad tonight? Other than the Vatrano goal it’s hard to blame him on any of the others.

Just piss poor analysis - no wonder Eddie got benched in 94

Im watching espn and they show the carter hit on shesterkin.. Barry said shesterkin stuck his leg out to initiate the contact. What a dumb piece of shit he is.. Meanwhile the host of espn is like barry, carter hit him.

Why does espn still have this moron on tv

Panarin did the thing where he cost us a goal, flubbed a few passes and one-timers and still farted out a few points.

Playoff Fox is pornographic. Aside from Sid willing that goal, Braun looked good and might of allowed Fox to pop-off.

KAM is a LEGIT bad man. He's a big moment gamer. LOCK. HIM. UP. NOW.

Igor

Might be jumping at shadows here, but Kreider looks like he's playing through a LBI. There were a few times the puck was a few feet from him, and he backed off instead of fighting for the puck. It reminded me of that ECF where 3 defenseman were doing the same thing and we found out they were all injured.
He definitely was off when he jumped on the ice for the start of the third — lagging well behind all this teammates. He was laboring a bit and looked outright uncomfortable.

Kreider and Zbad looking a little shitty together 5 on 5 think they should switch Kakko and Kreids, wouldn't hurt one bit.

you'll notice their talking points always center around negativity on the Rangers, almost always. It's annoying as f*** because it's so noticeable.

Makes me miss NBC in some weird way

I feel like I read pre-game Gallant hinted someone else was fighting an injury other than Lindgren? Or did we find out who that was?

Can’t speak to that. I can say, though, that Igor seemed to have been fighting the puck much of the first half of the game (or so). Then he got into his groove and shut the door. Not sure what that was all about.

Reaves made some excellent plays, including a big time hustle to disrupt a 2v1, and I noticed KAM has become a much better communicator. Schneider showed good instincts but needs to work on execution (better than the reverse).

Very satisfying win.
