That is what he has done all year thats why I was pleading to put Shesty back in.

if the goal george let up tonight was any of what igor let up in game 1, it’s whatever. but it’s no surprise we completely lost the momentum after that absolutely backbreaking goal. we were looking good to start the 3rd until george decided to take a nap while in net.

we absolutely can beat these guys, but our top guys need to step up big time, especially mika who has looked beyond atrocious all 3 games.

Unfortunately the fact that we are struggling so much with Pitsburgh doesn't bode well if we by any chance do move on.

The league also likes having Pitsburgh move on. The Crosby story needs to continue. His playoff numbers need to grow as the poster boy of the league.

They got dominated in the third, but yea 19 of 20 saves from Geo was the issue, you wonder why everyone left this place.

They only got dominated after the goal and Pittsburgh played keep away for the last 9 minutes.

Anyone, and I stress anyone that didn't expect Pitt to get their shit together after the 2nd period was lost. The rangers certainly didn't expect it. Nyr put on a massive push and was dominant and of course the end of the period would give Pitt a chance to reset, but nyr just wasn't ready for it. It seems like nyr is surprised this playoffs when Pitt doesn't just fold it up when adversity hits. In both losses nyr had a period where they made Pitt look like kids, but nyr can't figure out the 60 min efforts and the fact that Pitt has seen virtually everything in a series and isn't going to just pack it in.

Also AG continues to be awful. Not just the winning goal but Pitt hit at least 1 post if not 2.

I just can't get past losing to a 3rd string goalie when we have the best goalie in the world.

Really makes you think if it's ever worth paying a goalie a big cap hit.

Not even a knock on Igor himself. Just a general statement. We've had the best goalie in the world for every playoff series since 2006, and it's still a crapshoot on a game to game basis on which team gets better goaltending.

Totally disagree with what Vali is saying in post game.. we should be able to win a scoring battle with our advantage in goal. We are playing the right way, it's amazing that their guy is solid enough to win.

Game was there for the taking with three power plays in a row. That's never going to happen again this series and they didn't cash in.

Just didn't deserve it at the end of the day.

There were a lot of horrific things that happened this game, but wasting 3 PPs late in the game is what lost the game. Can't squander chances like that...not against a 3rd stringer.

I mean...3 PPs...unbelievable.
