If you guys could just start the game slow and sluggish that'd be great. :naughty:

In all honesty I expect a full onslaught to start the game and hope we can whether that storm. Should be a good one tonight and good luck.

Clifford, Greene, Fraser, Toffoli stayed out for extra work. Likely one of them will play, others scratched.

Does that mean Pearson and Nolan are in?

I hope so, maybe they'll inject SOME kind of life. Our best players need to show up for us to have a chance though (duh)...

Pretty much last game of the year if we lose. We just need one game! Go kings!

Going to the game tonight, I'm wearing my most powerful kings T-shirt; bought the day of, 2012, when the Kings swept the Blues. It's a Richards T-shirt, signed by him.
Hopefully it will inspire him to play better, and hopefully some of that 2012 magic will fill Staples Center :D

Man I know that playing two rookies on the same line can potentially make you give up like 12 goals in 2 games... But I kinda hope we get some pearson carter toff and get back to the lines that were functional.

Mitchell - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, 7 shots

Gaborik/Brown/Richards/Williams - 0 goals, 0 assists, 0 points, 7 shots

I think this whole thing about rookies not being able to handle the pressure can get a little silly. There are plenty of teams who play rookies in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Most of them will rise to the occasion. At some point, you need to figure out what you have..you can't keep babying them along.

If I was the Kings, these are the lines i'd roll:

Brown/Kopitar/Williams
Gaborik/Richards/Carter
Pearson/Vey/Toffoli
Lewis/Fraser/Nolan

I think the Sharks team wouldn't even consider line 3 a threat, and those guys have such good chemistry together. I know they already recalled Vey to Manchester - just sayin'. If I was the coach and I saw such a disparity, I would be crazy aggressive with the lineup changes. If games 1 or 2 were close, maybe i'd make small changes...but this calls for big changes.

Wish we would inject some of that speed and youth in Pearson and Toffoli in the lineup and roll 4 lines.

I cannot remember the last time I was so uninterested in watching a Kings game after work.

Maybe instead of uninterested, a more correct word is "dreading."

Even dreading is a weird word. After the first two games, it's wait and see. We've seen the Kings get destroyed already, so there's really nothing much to dread. Now we watch if the Kings have any sort of response. If it ends up 7-2 again, or 11-1, at that point what's the difference?

I had more hope of a comeback in 2002 against Detroit. I think that is the right year.

Toffoli has more shots on goal than Gaborik, Williams, Richards, Stoll, etc (and a couple of those were good scoring chances). He better not be scratched

Can't hardly blame people for being disturbed or even negative, but really it's still only 2-0 and we're going home where anything can happen. I'm excited to see the response.

I was excited when we started strong in game two, scored two goals, and then...

Let's go boys, let's take both back at home. Gonna pray to Saint Quick before the game tonight, hopefully he answers me.
