Sounds good to me. There's just too many players that are virtually dead weight and should be replaced.
The big issue is that we just traded our best center prospect in Fasching, so you really have to look at the long term when you consider moving Richards, unless the plan is to move Carter to center full time. Brown, as much as I'd celebrate the day he's traded, will likely not be moved because he's the captain and the "one down year" logic. Williams only has one more year on his contract and honestly has the least value of the three.
I'd think Buffalo would bite a Richards for Ehrhoff straight up if we ate a portion of his salary. That may be something to look into.
Ideally, we obtain a top four defenseman over the offseason, Mcnabb is with the team full time, and Regehr can be our seventh. Doughty, Voynov, Muzzin, Martinez should be the core we build around on the blue line.
