The Sharks studied the Blackhawks and figured out how to break the Kings defense down. Counterattack on the rush and back the defense down with a second layer behind. The Kings need to recognize their holes and plug them fast. Didn't happen in the first intermission. Probably won't happen in the second intermission either.

Doesn't matter if the Kings get shut out tonight. They need to find a way to get the puck in deep and get back to their game. They're playing uncharacteristically high-risk. Also not recognizing the open Sharks on the rush. The forwards are just as culpable as the defense.

Jonathan Quick looks completely lost out there. Had no idea where the puck was on at least two goals so far.

On the plus side, Muzzin hasn't done anything dumb. Fourth line doesn't look overmatched. Every other line does.

They say it is better to get completely blown out. The Kings have time to make adjustments. The Sharks will just stick to their game plan. Have to win 1 on the road. Win the rest at home.

You see, this is why regular season success is important. No more of that "this team is built for the playoffs" BS. We always fail to get a higher seed. That's why we always play a damn good experienced team in the first round. That **** can take a toll on you. DL really needs to build a team that can contend for a top 3 seed every year.

This game doesn't matter any more. If they can at least steal a game in SJ and come back to LA with the series tied, then they stand a good chance. If they're down 2-0, and I know they were down 2-0 last year against St. Louis, but this year, I don't feel as confident given how many lows this team has had this season. They always find a way to dig themselves in a big hole and they did that after 20 minutes of hockey tonight.
