The point is, no matter how good you are, you're not going to go deep into the playoffs every year. Kings have 7 playoff series in the past two seasons.

Maybe getting blown out is exactly what the doctor ordered. Quick standing on his head and losing 2-1 would have just made Sutter stick with the garbage lineup he had today.

To many players in the Kings lineup are in spots they shouldn't be.

King (should be 3rd line)
Toffoli (should be top 6)
Richards (should be bottom six)
Pearson (should be playing)
Nolan (shouldn't be playing)

Inserting Pearson into the lineup and having him with Carter and TT gives the Kings a 2nd line that is atleast a threat to score. And King-Stoll-Brown played well when Sutter put them together. Still no idea why he broke up those lines.

yes...after missing the last 6 games of the year, he is playing. Got nailed by a Blues player and a half second later, Reeves hammers him too...got it in the face. Toews is
on the bench and 1/3 of his face is bloodied.
