Yep, it would be crazy to not show SJ respect.

All the talk about SJ as rivals is semantics imo. 3 series in the last four years? Not many teams can say that. And considering the incidents between the teams, the good hockey played, and the low margin for error, I have a hard time buying even the strongest argument that they aren't our rivals. If SJ is not our strongest rival recently, who the heck is?

But agreed on the Blues :P
 
I think people are conflating "rivals" with "BITTER rivals".

Yes, the Sharks are both Divisional and frequent playoff rivals.

But it is not a BITTER rivalry like the one I really hope develops between Anaheim and LA after the PDF this year.

This. We're definitely rivals, we just don't hate each other...yet.

Hope they saw the OT against Anaheim cos that was all Quick, while the D was napping.

They've had front row seats to Quick ****ing up their lives. I would take any of that with a grain of salt because it's either trolling or denial.
 
That Fear the Fin account on Twitter is trying to say Quick isn't better than Neimi because Neimi has the higher career winning and save percentage.

I was surprised as well. Think they are in denial because they have all their guys ready to go and are just feeling a bit cocky at the moment...trying not to remember their goalie problem.

Niemi playoffs: 2012--.914 .2013--.930, career--.909

But yeah, pick whatever stat is most convenient to make your team feel better really :P

Ask the main boards, they'll quickly respond with "Jonathan Quick!"

They are basically saying his numbers and save % is based on the style the Kings play. Since the Kings play a defensive style game that helps Quick's numbers, like his numbers are inflated cos "everyone" is "bailing" him out from time to time. Hope I explained it well enough lol.

Well, Miller's save percentage is definitely working out back in STL.
 
It's pretty crazy how quick doesn't have impressive numbers. It's just weird. Hopefully he wins the vezina some point in his career. You'd think playing behind the kings he'd have phenomenal numbers.
 
Hopefully we get a healthy and manageable series out of this. A few players need to find another level and we really need to watch out for injuries. Only 4 players on the Kings played 80 or more games.

Not having home ice will hurt us a little, and we are going a little bit up hill, but this should be a winnable series for the Kings if they can play their game and execute offensively.

The key is going to be secondary scoring. Will Richards and the kids be able to activate and chip in offensively? They have ever season in the past, especially last year. They can do it again.

I think I might've got the sides wrong on the D pairings but player wise that's how they'll look
 
Kings fans in Canada may be screwed. CBC picked up our series and they will have Chicago/St Louis on Thursday at 5:00. If the game ends late or goes into OT we may not even see the game. This is ********. Too bad TSN didn't pick up the series. At least they have a second channel in case there was an overrun.
