Yes you did. You said he got lucky and only admitted he played well in the last 4 minutes.

I said he got lucky with the 2 posts, I did not say he only played well in the last 4 minutes. I said he player really well in the last 4 minutes which has completely different meaning than what you are saying I said

What does the fact that Jets hit the post have anything to do with my original statement that Pavs got lucky with a couple of Caps posts?

I love how people think a post is 'lucky'. Take a physics class. They missed the goal. Nothing to do with luck.

Two posts for the Caps tonight? That's got to be well below a game average. Teams hit several posts a night.

"Pavelec has taken a lot of heat, but Kevin Cheveldayoff has been loyal to Pavelec because they played a lot together in the IHL legaue."

That's not what they said. Friedman said that Chevy has so much loyalty to Pavs because he won a championship with Pavs in the IHL.

Myers shutting the door on Ovechkin & putting him on his ass was a thing of beauty.

The best thing of all is that the cherry picker Ovechkin will never get a Stanley Cup. :naughty:

That's not accurate , the comment was " they won a championship together "

I'm slowly moving into the "we need sign Stafford even more than Frolik" camp. And I love Fro. It's going to be interesting to watch how Chevy plays his hand in the off-season.

And just because I haven't mentioned Myers yet in this thread... Holy mother of defensive thunder power batman that Texan dude can play hockey!

Myers deserved a point tonight, I was wishing he had gotten a touch on that Lowry goal

Yeah I remember that, back in the last year of the real IHL in 2001 when Pavs was 14 he backstopped the Chicago Wolves to the IHL title! Friedman said IHL!

Friedman of all people was surprising!:help::shakehead

The Chef early in the season was a veritable "Einstein" when it came to posts...

Now he is "Jean Luc Picard"...

"Make it so...."

Myers and Stafford (even if it's inly a few months) for Kane and Bogo.... Ignore all the other added pieces... What a joke of a trade. I actually feel bad for Buffalo and I dislike that team. Unbelievably lopsided, I don't care what anyone says. A franchise calibre player and a clutch guy down an important stretch, for what?

sportsclubstats.com % chance for playoffs, based on number of pts in remaining games:

PTS|W|L|OT|% Chance
98|6|4|0|99.3

|4|2|4|98.8
97|5|4|1|96.2
|4|3|3|95.4
|3|2|5|94.5
96|5|5|0|87.9

|2|3|5|65.3
94|4|6|0|48.4
|3|5|2|45.8
|2|4|4|43.7

5-3-2 for an almost locked chance at a spot at 98pts. Even 97 and 96 give us a very good chance, and 96 only requires that we go 5-5-0.

Go Jets!

No its not. Chevy was with the Blackhawks organization then and was responsible for their IHL affiliate where Pavs was the goalie.

The IHL ceased operations in 2001. Pavelec played for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL, who were affiliated with Atlanta. Chevy was the GM there before he worked for the Blackhawks.
