I strongly think so too, with how the draft unfolded #1 to #9 i think Mintyukov was who the Sharks were hoping to be there at #11 before they make the trade after all 4 of Mintyukov, Gauthier, Korchinski and Kasper were gone.I think if you guys didn't take him, then we would've taken him right after and we wouldn't have traded away the 11th pick. His highlights on offense are nuts. So explosive and creative.
SJ was a perfect fit for Mintyukov or Korchinksi.
Perfect scenario for the Sharks was that Chicago doesn't trade into top10 and one of Korchinski or Mintyukov is there at #11. Suddenly TSN McKenzie stopped spoiling picks not long after that trade because it messed the order up and he has no idea what the teams 2nd option would be.
